Wings Like Eagles

Praise the Lord. I consider this was a very uh great opportunity and a pleasurable moment for me to serve the body of Christ through his words. uh for a short meditation I would like uh to turn our eyes on uh a particular verse from Isaiah 40 and verse 31. But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. Amen. Long before in the dense forest of Gir in Gujarat, there was a deer and the deer was pregnant. The time was nearing to deliver the baby fawn. So it was searching a place and it got a place near a river where there was so much grass. It was the night time and suddenly the weather changed. There was a thundering and lightning and because of the lightning the grass of that jungle uh got fire. There was a wildfire that was on the back of the deer and in the front of the deer was the river flowing. On the left side, there was a hunter trying to shoot the deer and on the right side there was a hungry lion ready to eat up this deer. Now the deer had nowhere to go. If we turn back, there is a fire. If we turn to left, there is a hunter. And if you turn to right, there is a lion. And if there is front, if she goes front, then there is a river. where to go. There was no options. Now there was only one option for her and she choose that. The option was to deliver the baby to bring a new life into the world. And what she did? She chose that option because after all options are very risky. So she decided to deliver the baby and she as she delivered the baby suddenly again a thundering thunder and lightning happened and because of the lightning the lightning fell upon the hunter and because of the lightning he missed the shoot short of the arrow and it got pierced to the hungry lion. the lion dead and suddenly the rain came and the wildfire was totally gone and the deer got its baby back and its life also back. The moral of the story is that choose the right option even if it is risky and the correct option was delivering the baby not to turn right, not to turn left, not to go front and not to go back. Hallelujah. So choose always the right option and the correct option. Hallelujah. So here the verse is about those who wait. They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. This a beautiful chapter. It starts with you can see how it starts the chapter 40 verse one. It start starts with an advice by the god. Comfort, comfort my people, says the Lord your God. And the ending of the chapter is with this verse which we have read and in between there are so many promises and metaphorical images you can find throughout this chapter. The famous verse quoted in the New Testament by John the Baptist or about the John the Baptist you can find here a voice cries in the wilderness prepared the way of the lord. So the first thing the first image is that the obstacles before the way of the Lord and these obstacles are painted as big mountains, the valleys, the uneven ground. But for God, nothing matters. When God wants to move, when God’s make a way, nothing can stop that way. If before the God’s way, if a mountain is standing, it will become down. If it is very hard to go down into the valley, the valley will come up. If it is the desert land, the the the desert land it also will be changed. Because God it’s God’s way. Hallelujah. Nobody can stop God’s work. All impossible things can be possible by God. That is the first image we can find here. And the second image we can find here is that God has compared the world as the flesh. In chapter six, sorry, in the verse six, we can find what is this world? The world is a grass. All flesh is grass. Whatever you whatever is you around, whatever is you see around or whatever you are attracted to, everything is what? Everything is a flesh. And this flesh is what? It’s just a grass. Whatever you give importance in your life, everything is a is what as a grass. And we can find here all the fresh flesh is grass and all its beauty is like the flower of the field. That means real in real sense there is nothing beautiful in the world. Okay, we might seems anything beautiful because it appeals your senses. And whatever appeal appeals to the senses you consider as a beauty but that is nothing in reality. Hallelujah. So God is trying to show the people of Israel that whatever you consider as very important your land because after some years if you see the preceding chapter it’s about the we can find the conversation happening between Ezekiel and uh the prophet Isaiah where Isaiah prophesies that in your time very selfish king if David would have been there he would have cried no god don’t allow my people to go in captivity even after my death but this was very selfish oh I am happy that nothing trouble will come in my life only after it will come after I depart very selfish king he didn’t pray for the wellbeing of the Israel such a selfish person true leader always cares for the people even if he’s away from the people he will be worried about the people hallelujah so this man didn’t pray about his people and God told that all the people will be going to the captivity. The Israelites will lose their land, their temple, everything they will lose. And God says that God is comfort, comfort, comfort. No. What is God is telling? Comfort, comfort my people. Whatever you consider as precious in your life related to earthly things, everything is worth nothing. Nothing. Keep your eye open. Hallelujah. All its beauty is nothing. Everything has beauty. True in sensuality because it appeals your size, color, shape, everything. Taste, it’s all are appealing but not it’s nothing. That’s what the god says. My friends, if you are so much attracted to the world or you are giving so much importance to the world, the real believer, the real bornagain Christians will never give any importance to the things of the world. Hallelujah. That is what God trying to tell the people. Hallelujah. And third image that God is telling that I am the shepherd. Hallelujah. And before he telling that I am a shepherd, he says that I am a powerful God. The God is almighty. The God leads the people with power. Hallelujah. So I am your shepherd. That is the another image. So don’t worry about your future. I am the shepherd who carries you. Hallelujah. And the last image which you can find in this chapter is about the wings like eagles. Hallelujah. This is what my topic is about. We all believers have wings. Hallelujah. We are born to fly. We are born to Hallelujah. live as a conqueror. Hallelujah. Paul says we are more than a conqueror. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. If you are dejected, you are if you’re upset, few minutes before pastor join said somebody said like this was my bad week. Hallelujah. Yes, there can be a bad wig. There can be seasons like that. But there is a one guarantee that you have a wings. Hallelujah. You have a wings. Hallelujah. With that wings, you can fly. Hallelujah. What to do with the wings? Why did God say that? Why did God say but this particular verse in the land? God is pred predicting the future of Israel. The future of Israel is very good. What God says you can find here second verse 40:2 speak tenderly to Jerusalem and cry to her that her warfare is ended and that her inquity is pardoned and that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins. Now it’s the good time. Hallelujah. So good. It’s it’s it’s about the prophecy is about the good times that good times will become whatever difficulties you are facing everything will be vanished away. That’s why God says the way of the God no can no one can stop. All the mountains against the again all the mountains against the way will be come down. All the valleys will be lifted up. There will be a smooth path. There is a full of prosperity. Be comforted. But there are some people the God’s promise is for all people. But there are few people who are not able to receive the God’s blessing. And that’s why God says to them and these few people what they say in verse 27. Why do you say oh Jacob and speak oh Israel my way is hidden from the Lord and my right is disregarded by my God. Before these verses, God has put himself as very powerful being a powerful shepherd. But still there are people who doesn’t believe in that. That’s why they complain that my ways are hidden before God. My rights are not considered by God. At that time God looking at them says that they yes I admit there are some people who has was so skeptical about my my power my resources my love but there are people who are not skeptical about me remember God has spoken promises God has prophesized about the well-being it has not come. Okay, there is a gap. You understand? So this particular verse, the last verse, okay, the 31 is what you can do as a believer in the bracket period. Last Friday, we heard a powerful sermon on land. You have to speak out the God promises in every situation. Hallelujah. We have to speak the God’s promises in every situation. Hallelujah. So what you can do between the proclamation of the prophecy and the culmination of the prophecy, what you can do, you know what you have to do? You have to fly like an eagle. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Even you are down with your circumstances. Hallelujah. Like that deer, if you go to the front, you are doomed. If you go to right, you are doomed. If you go to left, you are doomed. If you go to back, you are doomed. Hallelujah. At that time, a child of God, what he can do? He can fly. Hallelujah. Like an eagle. Hallelujah. He is not compared with the eagle. But he has got a wings that will be like an eagle. Hallelujah. That means the God has called not only to receive the blessings or God has not only called you to uh accomplish the prophecies or the blessing but God has also called you to fly like an eagle till you receive the promises of God. Hallelujah. Understand? Waiting period is not good. Waiting is very difficult. You have all experience. I have so many time experience waiting for the train for 1 hour two turn exhausted waiting for my friend. You might have been waiting for your flight. It’s very painful to wait for a long time. But you know that we believers have always more focus on prayer and worship. Okay. We are so much practicing doing prayer and worship. But we have to add one more thing. Prayer, worship, waiting. Prayer, worship, waiting. Prayer, worship, waiting. Hallelujah. You pray powerful prayer in tongues. You can worship with tongues. Hallelujah. Powerful worship, lead worship, dance in the worship. But you know this worship and this prayer will only work if you wait. Hallelujah. If you can’t wait that means your prayer is nothing. If you can’t wor if you can’t if you can worship but can’t wait your worship is also nothing. You have to wait. Hallelujah. It’s not know what don’t say like it’s very negative. It’s very negative. How to wait? Some pastors right now deliverance right now. Deliverance. But God says wait. Hallelujah. God says wait. And how we can wait. If I can every day or after the worship service in the evening time, if I can able to sit with the sit in the presence of God and experience the love of God. If on Monday I sit in the presence of God with the word of God and prayer and experience the love of God. If on Tuesday I sit in the presence of God, experience the love of God. If on Wednesday I sit before the presence of God, read the word of God, love the word of God, practice the word of God and worship God and experience the presence of God. If on Thursday also I want more presence of God in my life in my life. Friday, Saturday one one I have so less time. Suppose imagine if Jesus Christ and the 12 disciples were going in the boat and this time Mary was with them. Not mother Mary the Mary who washed the feet of the Lord. Imagine if this time 12 disciples and Mary would have been traveling with Jesus on the boat in the Sea of Galilee and suddenly the storm comes again. The disciples are afraid. Christ is sleeping and Mary is nearby the Lord. She is not moved by the storm. Disciples are crying out. Jesus wakes up. Jesus says these are happening for second time in your life. Last time also I warned you don’t fear. Now also you are fearing you man of little faith because Jesus called many times. Then there was one person who was very calm. Jesus asked Mary what happened to you? Why your reaction is so different? Mary said I didn’t look at the storm. I just looked at you. I didn’t know when the storm came and when the storm was over. I didn’t know that because I was completely absorbed in your presence. Hallelujah. We Sunday Christians normally have this experience. I said no. We Sunday Christians normally have that experience. If we have experience like Mary, then storm comes and storm goes. We don’t Hallelujah. And these people fly. Hallelujah. Only these people can fly. Others will sit and complain only. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Eagles are like that. No, they rarely come to the down on the earth. The crows, the sparrows, all the birds always there on the ground. But you rarely see eagle in on the ground. When it has hunger, that time it comes down. When hunger is satisfied, it goes back high. Don’t expect Yes. Sorry. Expect rapture to happen. But you know that we are already raptured. Hallelujah. If you don’t believe, don’t believe me. I believe that rapture is future and rapture is in present also. And you can ask me on what point you can say I have the proof in Ephesians citizen that you are all raised up with Christ and seated on the heaven. Hallelujah. It is not the marketing policy of God. It is real thing. It is not the marketing policy of God to attract the believers. No, it’s really Hallelujah. It’s really we are raptured because Jesus said to Nicodemus that those who are born of spirit, those who are born of spirit, okay? They can go wherever they want. They are not stayed at one place. They are always with the Lord. Hallelujah. Understand what I mean to say? Hallelujah. There is already a rapture happening. Hallelujah. Once we are born again, we are already raptured in the presence of God. Hallelujah. And we are if truly raptured. Hallelujah. Then we’ll be like that Mary. Hallelujah. Lost in the presence of God. Hallelujah. Waiting is very difficult. We you have to shut the voices of the flesh and it’s very difficult. I think the greatest enemy of Anil is not Satan. The greatest enemy of Anil is the flesh. Is the self of the anil. You understand? My greatest enemy is not Satan. My greatest enemy is myself. Hallelujah. Because I am hearing the voice of my flesh every time. But that was Indian rupees. It is 2.7 cr rupees offered by naman to Elisha. And Elisha had all reasons to accept that. Why? Because few days before mama pastor has preach about Elisha that disciples of Elisha had problem in living. So they wanted to expand their place of living. So they asked the permission of Alisha can he go and cut the trees and build bill. So they were in scarcity. Funding was not there for Elijah. Even there was a big profit. There was so much scarcity of funding. And at that time Nan bring how many crores? 2.8 crores. Eliza didn’t look at that. Even look at that. You know why? Because he was eagle flying in the sky. All flesh is grass. All its beauty is nothing. All friends is glass. Beauty is nothing. You understand? Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Waiting is a good thing. If you experience the love of God and because of this experience of the love of God, you can shut the flesh. What is the reing of strength? Means the power to say no to the flesh. That is the power. Hallelujah. When David was chased by Saul, anytime if David will come before Saul, Saul will kill him. And finally one day after chasing Saul got exhausted and to taking rest, he was sleeping in the cave of Adullah. He was sleeping, deep sleep. And David was right behind him. He had a sword in his hand. Eye for an eye, tooth for an tooth. Yeah, you all remember that. You also remember that he had a sword also. The flesh says, “Kill him. Fulfill the promise of God.” Because Samuel has said that you will become God. You will become king after Saul. Good chance. Do this. flesh was telling kill him. But since he was in presence of God, love of God, word of God, know he is the Lord’s anointed. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Waiting period. Hallelujah. You know when you wait the situation cannot change but you will be changed. Again I’m repeating when you are waiting situation cannot be changed but you can change. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Another example I will share about Joseph. Very illreated by God. Sorry. Yeah. Illreated only illreated, insulted, betrayed by his brothers. God, you know, God showed him what? God only show him the dreams. Sun, moon, and stars will bow down before him. But did God show him the well in which he was thrown? Did God show him what how he will be treated family? Did God show him how he was in the jail? No, God didn’t show him that. God was using all these circumstances to change him to make him more mature. Hallelujah. And finally when he became a prime minister, I don’t want to read that because time is very less. When he appeared before his brothers, he said to his brother, I am Joseph, your brother whom you betrayed me, but don’t be distressed. Don’t curse yourselves. The God has allowed all this to happen so that I can save your life. How sweet character Joseph had. If we would have been there, we would have never forgiven our brothers. We would have always keep that grudge in our heart against our brother because he has done very wrong to me. But this man such a beautiful character. You know who made him that beautiful character? It’s God’s presence. Hallelujah. Waiting period is very good. Hal because you can experience the love of God during those time. Hallelujah. Take the time for waiting to experience the love of God. The journey will be very easy. Hallelujah. Very easy and you can fly like an eagle. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Till you achieve the So brothers and sisters, God’s promise is what? You have a wings. You have wings. Why these wings are given? You know that to overcome your challenges, to overcome your problems, to overcome whatever things disturbs you, the wings are given to you only. Other people will do suicide. Other people will be depressed, but you have a hope because you have the wings. Hallelujah. And the wings are not like ordinary birds. These wings are like the eagle’s wings. Hallelujah. It will raise so high in the sky. So you will see your problem very small. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. So why to be discouraged? Waiting period is a good time. Enjoy the love and fellowship of the God. Your journey will be very smooth. We have so many we have right we are right to be hopeful. We are right to be optimistic. Hallelujah. We we have right to be very positive because we have got the wings only. You have to just spread it up. Hallelujah. Sit in the presence of God. Hallelujah. Let us do one exercise and we’ll complete. I will say God is good and you have to say all the time. God is good. God is good. God is good. Take this strength with you.
