Fulfillment of Promises

May the name of the Lord be praised and I thank and praise God for this opportunity to come uh this morning in his presence these last two days have been a great blessing those who came here experienced the specific power and presence of the Holy [Music] Spirit and that word that we heard from the Servants of God was a cause of great renewal and God has given us also the ability to worship him this morning in every season God gives us a message I’m telling you about my thing I take many verses and passages but every time I look up these verses there’s always a Core theme and this season the holy spirit is speaking to me about the Fulfillment of Prophecy [Music] and don’t misunderstand me I’m talking specifically on the Fulfillment of promise I’m not talking about end time prophecy but I’m talking about prophecies that and Promises individually to us that God is fulfilling in this season what the holy spirit is inspiring me is saying in these months God is going to fulfill those promises that he has made in our lives and when fasting prayer starts the devil starts his work because he does not want to sit idle and so the devil will torment and work even harder when he knows the Fulfillment of Promise in our lives is coming in uh on Friday we heard from Pastor Thomas son from Joshua but today we’re going to go to Joshua chapter 6 verses 1 and two see the the gates of Jericho were sealed securely all this time the gates were open and they were coming and going freely and God is telling the people of Israel You’re Going to March toward Jericho and Conquer it so the people of Jericho got their walls ready polished it and sealed their Gates shut and your goal is going to reach another level as you approach the season of your promise being fulfilled when it was far away it was within your reach but now as you have gotten closer to your promise the it’s been closed and sealed but not just the devil who is doing that it is in in its entirety that [Music] way chapter three of Joshua verse 15 the first part and you see as they’re coming to that point where they need to cross the river the banks of the Jordan River are overflowing in that season and so they’re making all these plans for war thinking we can cross over it’s a time of harvest and they’re getting ready to cross and that’s the difference between the time of God’s promise and our goals and when the time of God’s promise being fulfilled there will be things that overflow in terms of trouble that come up against us but Jesus God is going to go ahead of you so you can overcome all of that after these people were circling in the wilderness for 40 years God is going to take them across the Jordan River one servant of God was going through some troubles God is awesome and so to strengthen and encourage his family he said he is an awesome God I know he’s going to do great things [Music] when you say that kind of line in a church people may raise their hand to acknowledge that but when you say this in the family of a servant of God Not A lot’s going to happen and so one person of that family said so far from what I can see that’s looking like it’s not going to happen and if I look at the situation this family member saying if I look at the situation now none of this is going to happen and so why are you saying this now and so this man of God [Music] said more than I can perceive with my senses I believe in the promises of God [Music] if you can believe the promises of God more than what your eyes or your ears or what you can touch you can experience the promises of God in your life when other people see Giants when you feel small in front of the Giants but Joshua and Caleb are thinking about how they can defeat those giants because they knew for sure that God could not lie Hebrews chapter 6 verse 18 impossible for God to lie and it is impossible for God to lie numbers 23 numbers 23 verse 19 God is not a man that he should lie nor a son of man that he should repent has he said has he and will he not do this morning as a church not leaning our on our own understanding our own sight let us believe on the Promises of God the other day I wrote a song it was a night that I could not sleep at all and I wrote it in that one night it is a promise that God gave to me everyone should listen to this song When God gives us a promise there is no lie in it at all because God cannot [Music] lie why did Abraham take his son to sacrifice because he knew for a fact that God who made the promise cannot lie God had promised Abraham many years before Isaac was born that I will bless your Generations if God made the promise even before Isaac was born Abraham knew that through Isaac God would fulfill that promise so let us wait for that new experience let all the old things go let us not judge on the things of the past let us move toward things that are new praise the Lord Revelation 21 verse 6 and he said to me it is done I am the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end I will give of the Fountain of the Water of Life freely to him who thirsts no praise the Lord hallelujah praise the Lord hallelujah and I’m hearing a voice loudly from Heaven God speaking like thunder these words from Heaven it is finished it is done we see an excitement from the words of God here and we see a comparison made as they wait for it there’s a message for us in this [Music] today God even more than us is awaiting our Redemption see we see God Jesus encouraging us to take our cross and move forward and but God is telling us more than you I’m eagerly awaiting your Redemption the Jesus the who is the author and finisher of our faith he is the one that started our journey and he is the one that will end it that’s why the holy spirit is encouraging us to take up our [Music] cross we are people that all go through different pains and whatever situation at some point we all go through some troubles but we need to identify with Christ in our suffering we heard a blessed Psalm this morning when David is going through whatever trouble he is he’s trusting in the Lord he is identifying himself with the Lord and when we are not able to identify with the Lord in our sufferings it becomes a great defeat Galatians chapter 2 verse 20 I have been crucified with Christ it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who who loved me and gave himself for me and chapter six of Galatians verse 17 for the uh praise the Lord from now on let no one trouble me for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus there’s a work that’s done to burn and to uh make a mark uh on cattle or on the body if it was cattle it would have been a problem but it happens on the human body and so they would burn the seal or the signant of the commander onto the the body and so the Masters would burn their emblem onto their slaves and so now Paul is saying I carry the mark of Jesus on my body I have been crucified with Christ but when you look at the body of Paul you see that he’s crucified with Christ all the sufferings that all the sufferings that Jesus suffered Paul suffered on his body and so I fulfill everything that Christ has did for the church also in my body for the church to suffer with with [Music] Christ and you’re going to have a spiritual growth and a renewal if you suffer but without Christ you won’t reach anywhere praise the Lord there were two thieves that were on the cross next to Jesus and so both of them together began to mock Jesus but in the heart of one Thief there was a change and in the heart of the other criminal there was no change so as one Thief was continuing to mock Jesus we see that the thief whose heart was changed used a specific phrase [Music] even though and he said even though you have received a likewise punishment do not fear God we’re all suffering together and you still don’t realize they’re hanging all together on the cross but he’s standing aside and so he’s also even on the cross he is standing with the Pharisees who hung Jesus but one one Thief who was originally with the other one has now moved to the side he is with Jesus and that is leading him to a change Jesus he tells Jesus when you come in your kingdom please remember me and Jesus immediately says surely today you will be with me in paradise and if you face challenges with Jesus if you move your life forward with Jesus he is the one that will bless us greatly prise the lord and there was a priest in Kerala he is a priest that specializes specifically in Alcoholics and he has a powder and if you go see this priest he’ll take his special powder and put it in the red of your eye and so you know these alcoholics would come on once he do does that they will [Music] realize and so everyone who comes there the local people will help them hold people down and so the priest will get on top of them and put this ointment or this powder in their eye and so you know they all respect this priest but no one Praises God for their own goodness while they lie there but but they call these this priest by so many NE bad words words and so back in when we were younger our teachers would punish us by hitting us no one goes up to the teacher who beat them and says thank you it was for my own good and so when we walk away when we go away from the teacher we just mock them and when we experience pain the behavior of people changes but when we suffer in Christ Our Behavior will be much better we will be like Christ and so it is through the father that the son suffered it is Christ who knew the will of the father as he [Music] suffered when when God puts us through trouble he is right there with us and God is taking the responsibility to perfect us and so let us go on the path of the Lord and it is the work of God that works through each one of us in Philippians chapter 2 ver 13 and we all have have this burden in our heart that we need a new building and we have come to that need because we have come to that season in our church but that is our thought for this time 10 years ago we were Desiring another place and we just wanted a good rental place at that time and so when as God is Le leading us there’s one thing the God he is the one that all brought us all together and so when we are in this situation or condition he knows what we need and he will prepare all of that in front of us and so as we walk in the paths ahead it will become revealed so these days let us believe in his promise he is a God that does not lie in let us believe on [Music] him when we come back to Revelation CH 21:6 it says it is done what happened is the work of the Redemption of the Lord that is done we all have a job and whether you like to go to your job is another matter but we all love to get a salary prise the Lord but God has a job what is his job what is his responsibility what is his burden it is our Redemption why did Jesus go through this suffering to redeem us that’s why he went through the suffering and John chapter 5 he says my father works and I also work praise the Lord [Music] and so this morning the work of the Lord the job of the Lord is our [Music] Redemption and the work of the devil is to take us away from that Redemption to push us [Music] away we hear here in Revelation for as a thunderous voice from the the cloud Jesus is saying God is saying it is finished it is done from the creation of man to the fall of Man till now he is saying it is done many times we hear the situation of Eden is the most blessed and we see that from Eden is where Satan pushed man away but where is humankind that God has brought back but God is taking us back to the great blessedness of Eden where where did God come and have fellowship with them in Eden in the In the Heat of the day in the cool of the day that is when God talked to them but in Revelation it says the New Jerusalem has no son because the lamb is its light it’s a it’s a time and place in the New Jerusalem where there’s no time containment and here there’s a [Music] message whatever goodness that the devil has pushed you from but if you reconcile hearing the word of the Lord God will renew you something greater than what you are of [Music] old when he restores you it’s according to his measure whether it’s your job whether it’s your dignity whether it’s your name whether it’s your status whe whe whether it’s your financial condition whether it’s your spiritual life when he restores he will be greater than the first that is the work of the Father Son and the Holy Spirit this morning we heard on the work of the Holy Spirit why is the holy spirit having a relationship with us it’s for our [Music] Redemption it’s also what what is said in 21:6 of Revelation is also in uh chapter 17 verse 16 and it says the same thing there it is finished and so it’s talking about a very important thing here and it’s talking about judgment here Genesis chapter 15 verse1 14 know that the the country that has enslaved you I will punish them and I’ll bring your people out and bring them as a great nation and hundreds of years before is the holy spirit speaking this to Abraham why did the Egyptians so freely give all their wealth and gold as Israel was leaving Egypt because hundreds of years before the Holy Spirit had promised it to Abraham he is a God that works he judges yesterday we heard from Pastor annel from L Luke chapter 18 about the Widow that goes to the judge and in Luke 18:8 he says surely he will will he not avenge them speedily [Music] in verse eight it says I tell you does not God avenge his own elect who cry out day and night to him I tell you that he will avenge them speedily why did this Widow go to the judge because she had an enemy of no of nobility against her and that person was troubling her a lot and he’s telling he’s saying to her to this judge avenge me speedily and that is what God is doing he is a righteous and just God he’s a righteous and just judge [Music] as Pastor annel was speaking yesterday I was thinking in my head what is that avenge meant that God did for Hannah and all these you know months Hannah’s sister has been poking at her and mocking her and so now every year they go and worship at Shiloh and so when they go to Shiloh there’s the high priest Eli they have Eli’s two sons are there but there’s a Samuel there all of Israel is hearing the words of Samuel when panina comes with her children when Hannah comes with her children and they’re seeing Samuel as the judge of Israel you know when panina the sister of Hannah has issues with her children who does she go to Dear Son Samuel can you pray for him it’s your cousin brother but can you pray for him he is a God that avenges are you in shame is your name being blemished are you pushed away he is the god of recompense God is a god of Revenge or avenging judgment the just God of avengement but so if you suffer with Christ identify with Christ move forward that way there’s an opposite side to this and we don’t go and go on top of anyone and walk we don’t have we don’t also don’t have the right to oppress anyone or suppress anyone but remember this listen carefully these are things that we do sometimes in the family life you get uh you know suppress or oppress different members of your family family and so when I was doing a study I went to a family I went for an [Music] interview and so that the mother of that house says our son is going to come it’s probably best that you leave now and so I was bold back then I said hey what’s wrong if the son comes and the mother said you’re going to find out why you should leave quickly when you when he comes you should probably leave and so when he comes he doesn’t look at who it is he beats everyone and so in some families it is children that are oppressing or troubling everyone and in some families it’s the husband or the wife or the parents but also this happens in the church as well but there is a just God that lives so submit yourselves under the hand of the Lord and he has made God has made a Jesus made a statement like this before John chapter 19 it is sorry verse 30 Jesus is about to die and he has realized that he’s about to die and he said I thirst and so they gave on a sponge they offered him sour wine and after putting it to his mouth he made a declaration everything is finished and it is coming out in a human voice and it is not a voice from heaven but it is a voice of a man but it was a voice of Victory and there are two times sour wine is given to him and so it’s a g a more bitter type of wine that is given to him the first time and so as soon as it was put to his lips he rejected it and so it’s a narcotic agent that is in it and he did not drink that but he it was put to his mouth and so but there was still a promise that yet had to be fulfilled and there was a script scripture that was yet to be fulfilled and that is from the Psalms that is written there and they offered me G to drink and they have given me sour [Music] wine but the sour wine part had not been fulfilled yet perf and so the god of perfection said I am thirsty so when he said that they gave him that sour wine and if he had drank that first that g all some of his pain would have subsided and so he said he didn’t want that so he didn’t drink it and so when they drink this sour wine they’ll stay alive a little longer and so when Jesus drank it he said it is finished and gave up his Spirit praise the Lord hallelujah the god of completion will also finish us complete us to perfection in our life when our life does not stay in our own hands it is safe in God’s hands when David is crying out to God [Music] he God is rescuing him from all his fears and rescuing him from all his troubles and then in bringing him to the kingdom after he was King in Judah he was king of Israel when God restores he will restore you greater than what you were initially and there’s another message here [Music] and so it says here uh after he said I thirst I will give water to those who are thirsty and so the the Jesus that’s dying on the cross knows that his people are thirsty he knows my people people are going through trouble they will need water and so God is ready to give them and satisfy their thirst let me close my words this morning Jesus is saying it is done his your Redemption is the greatest thing for God at one time we were all children infants then we were toddlers then we become a little older now we’re adults and then we will get older and older but there is one who doesn’t change and he has one goal my Redemption my Redemption our Redemption and he is ready to give any price and so why they were constantly after Jesus is because he was healing on the Sabbath if he didn’t have to heal on the Sabbath there would be no issue but those who are paralyzed those who are lame those who had troubles came to be healed on the Sabbath and so if they’re coming with that difficulty to there Jesus is not going to stop he’s going to be there and they are identifying with Christ in their suffering not gives excuses and self-pity for our sufferings but let us identify with Christ and in John chapter 5 Jesus is saying both me and my father are at work today we are not alone dear child of God who’s going through trouble You Are Not Alone dear those who are starting life with new dreams You Are Not Alone on your journey of life you are not alone God is going to be a great is preparing a great path of redemption for you he’s preparing a great ministry for you it is not to Simply live and die on this planet but to do something for his kingdom and to make our shoulders strong to carry that cross let us humble ourselves in God’s presence
