The God Who Gives Victory

May the name of the Lord be praised I greet you all the Servants of the Lord and all the families that are gather here this morning in the name of the Lord Let Us Praise Him for giving him uh giving all of us an opportunity to come back into the presence of the Lord especially to come back and see Pastor Thomas Samuel after a few weeks we are in the midst of the Victorious King who said do not fear because I have overcome the world there is sadness in the world but we should not stumble because of it but we are in the midst of the V Victor who guides us through our troubles in the midst of the troubles over the last few weeks he is the god that has upheld us and I thank and praise God that he has guided the family of brother Johnson thus far and I thank and praise God for strengthening this church and this family for all the preparations that were needed for the funeral service de children of God it is not our skill or our talent but the God who has prepared things that no eye has seen nor ear has heard has strengthened each one of us I wanted to share with you from a a passage that made me think and is inspiring me John chapter 16 verse 33 these things I have spoken to you that in you you may have peace in me you may have peace in the world you will have tribulation but be of good share I have overcome the world and there’s three things mentioned in there there you will have peace you will have tribulation but there’s someone that has overcome the world my message to you this morning is the god who gives you Victory I’m speaking to you so you have peace in this world we live in a time where the world is looking and earning yearning for peace and they’re running around around looking for peace and how to gain it whatever they need to do whether it means climbing the tallest mountain all in an effort to gain peace and so new story in India in Tamil Naru a young boy in front of worshiping the God that he worships cut his Tong and one person said I move from my home and I feel a great peace and then another person said I left my family divorced my wife and have a new family and I have found more peace in that but my my message to you today is not peace but the God who gives Victory and we see that when we look at this passage in John we understand about the Gospel of John that he wrote five books and we know that that he wrote John John 1 2 and 3 and also Revelation Hallelujah many times when we look at the 12 disciples we think that Peter was the one that was most used by God but I believe in looking at this passage that the disciple that was most used by Jesus and the disciple that Jesus loved the most was John even at his last moment on the cross Jesus gave looked at his mother and handed her over to his disciple John that’s how much he loved him and when we study the Bible and the scholars say that Mary was under the care of John Hallelujah we serve a God that knows us very well he knows our hearts very well he is the god that gives us peace Hallelujah let us submit ourselves in the hands of that God in chapter 16 verse one it says that your heart should not be made to stumble and in Chapter 14 verse one let not your heart be troubled 15 verse one says I am the True Vine and my father is the vine dresser and when we live in this world there’s chances of stumbling and when we live in this world there’s times we could be troubled but if that good Vine dresser the father is with us he will guide us through death come upon us at any time and the word of God tells us 70 years if if strength there’s 80 and this dear mother who passed away recently got one year extra as a bonus and what a privilege she had in her final years to be with her children and grandchildren in the the church where my cousin is ministering in Gujarat a four-year-old boy got pneumonia and passed away even though the family is a maraite family they would come to our worship service there uh the mother and her son none of us have the authority to ask why does this happen in a garden when there are so many flowers planted in a garden where there’s many flowers The Gardener has the right to go in at any time and cut or prune or pluck any flower and none of us have the authority to ask why did you do that and as we are sitting in his garden he has the right at any time to pluck that flower and take it to his presence and we don’t have the authority to ask why but let me tell you something the Peace of the world is very temporary but we need to move forward in the peace that Christ gives us John chapter 16 verse 7 and 8 says nevertheless I tell you the truth it is to your advantage that I go for if I do not go the helper will not come to you but if I depart I will send him to you and when he has come he will convict the world of sin of righteousness and judgment if we need to have peace in Christ we need to let the Holy Spirit abide in us so that it can convict our life of sin and righteousness and judgment in Hebrews it says it is appointed for man to die once and then the judgment and it is mandatory for all of us to face death but after that there is a judgment that comes upon us and that’s why we need to be living daily in Holiness and separation and living guided and abiding in the holy spirit let us receive the peace from Christ and move forward in the Psalms it says he brings peace to the land where the children of God live in that land there needs to be peace we can only live in peace if we are people that sow in peace then we can only reap peace and in Matthew it says he gives the home peace only if you and I are living in peace can the home that we live in have peace and act he says he gives the church Peace So if that is the case as we are in this church today let us be people of Peace so we can bring peace to the church so let us rest in that promise not in the peace that the world gives very temporarily but in the Eternal peace that he has left us and Isaiah it says let your children have peace dear children of God are we in peace today is our family life in peace our children in peace let God counsel us to see where we have fallen and come back Hallelujah he is the god that leads us in the land with peace in in Leviticus it says I give the land my peace no one will come against you I will remove all the wild animals from the land and the sword will not come through your land those who seek after the Peace of the Lord are the only ones that can experience it Hallelujah so if that is the case let us submit ourselves in the presence of that God this morning Hallelujah May the peace of Christ rule in your hearts this morning but my message to you this morning is the god who gives us victory John 5 and first John chapter 5 verse4 and five for whatever is born of God overcomes the world and this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith but who is He Who overcomes the world but he who believes that Jesus is the son of God lord [Music] only if you are born of God can you become an overcomer but what has overcome that victory that has overcome the world that is our faith this morning the father has sent his son to join us together we were once the Wild Olive Branch but now we have been joined into the native branch and he has made us victorious in him first John chapter 4:4 you are of God little children and have overcome them because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world this morning the flag that needs to fly in our house is the flag of Victory we are raising up Jesus Christ Christ Hallelujah we praise him because it is through Jesus that we have the victory God has not called us and separated us to be among those who are defeated because the Victorious Christ is the one that is with us hallelujah we never see defeat when we study the life of Jesus the ministry of Jesus we never see defeat in his life and so from the moment he came down to this Earth to the moment he hung on the cross he was the Victorious Christ and that’s why he came down to make us also victorious in the midst of many trials and temptations that came into his life he moved forward victoriously and he was not defeated by the Temptations of the devil and the cross and the soldiers and the Roman Empire was not able to defeat Jesus the Roman seal that was on the resurrection tomb was not able to defeat Jesus he did not come into this world to be the defeated Christ but the Victorious Christ to lead us in a Victorious way many times we are in the side that of of those who have lost or who are defeated many times we are part of the group that falls into the pit we need to think about where did we get our losses are we following the footsteps of the Victorious Christ Romans 8 chapter uh verse 37 yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us verse 38 and 39 neither death nor life angels nor principalities or powers or things that are present or things Yet to Come can separate us from the love that is in Christ this morning if we are able to put our defeats to the side our losses to the side Jesus is capable to lead us in the Victorious path let us submit ourselves in the hands of that loving God this morning he did not call us to leave us abandoned on the road not to leave us with those who have lost he has called us to take us to the other Shore because our Jesus is Victorious he is the Victorious Warrior he is the one that overcame the grave and we need to be people who are aware of that many times we don’t are not aware of things because we don’t understand the word we need to be people that know the word know the law because we have an ordinance we have a pattern to follow many times we don’t know about our own selves many times we just move forward thinking our parents were Pentecostal so I’m just in that movement we have a a call to be separate from the Gentiles and the Gentiles even know that this group of people is different we see in Esther chapter 3 that hmon is going to the king and telling the king there is a people that lives scattered in between us and they have their own law and the their own God that they follow and hmon was trying to convince the king to destroy this people we are a people that are known by God and separated by God we’re not called just on Sundays to be separated but seven days a week and only if we can maintain that can we be victorious with him and when Jesus was in his ministry for three and a half years he told his disciples that he will die and be buried for three days but his disciples did not remember it or think of it so these people who are enemies of Jesus came to the Roman Emperor and said he told us he deceived the people and said that he would rise up in three days so I need your seal to seal that tomb so the Roman Emperor gave him soldiers and sealed the Tomb of Jesus so we see these disciples who Jesus told all this too when Jesus was in the grave they went back to their old jobs [Music] we see that even though the disciples forgot that Jesus would rise up on the third day these enemies of Jesus the Gentiles remembered that he said he would rise up on the third day but our Jesus broke the Seal of the Roman Emperor and Rose up on the third day for our sins how many of you are aware that our Jesus Jesus Is the Victor Victor Jesus is close to us he’s near to us he is the god that guides us and upholds us in our time of distress Romans chapter revelation CH 12:1 says they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb by the word of their testimony and they did not love their lives to the death in the let us submit ourselves this morning morning time the Victorious Christ is the one that is with us you cannot just live life however you want we have a law we have a tradition we have an ordinance we are separated people we are sealed by his blood we are sealed we have a sign there’s a sign a seal on us that we are his children so we have to be rooted in that word to move forward only if we are growing in Christ can we become Victorious because there’s a time he’s going to ask account of us in Ezekiel it says in the day that I ask your account are you going to stand firm are your hands going to be strong he’s going to ask account of us he’s going to seal the book for us everything that we did for him he’s going to ask account and he doesn’t need any of you sitting here to testify for him these walls will give testif testimony the dust under under our feet will give us testimony in this day of in the day of judgment he doesn’t need any man’s testimony the world will come up to testify in the the day of judgment he did not call us and separate us to falter in this Wilderness but he called us to be Victorious and carry that flag of victory Hallelujah and he says in Ezekiel I will not because of anything else but because of my name I will punish you it is not any because of our skill or anything that we did because because the flag of victory that Jesus with us that has brought us th far he is a God that in the land that we live the cities that we live the homes that we live he has protected us in Ezekiel it says I have appointed a man to stand on the city he is looking at us each every day to stand is he’s looking to see is there anyone standing in the Gap it is time in these days for us to be renewed we all know that America is a country that helps other countries but even to this day America has not been able to quench the fire going on in California because the Judgment of God is still coming down 2025 is given to us for us to purify ourselves again to separate ourselves once again if we submit ourselves these days he is the god that is able to lead us victoriously we should not be in the the number of those who were defeated and in Genesis that we read that God is commanding uh Jacob to go and and dwell in bethl and we see in Genesis 28 that we see a Jacob that is running in fear of his brother and so we read in chapter 28:1 Jacob went out from BBA and went toward Haron and we see a knight fall upon Jacob on his way to haran those nights fall on us not to destroy us but so that we gain strength and we are victorious in the path of the lord we and we see that God is specifically speaking to Jacob in the house of lean to return to the place of his native place and so we see that when he Jacob receives that command in verse 17 and 18 Jacob Rose and went back to the the land of his father Isaac and we see on his road back to where the land of his father he sees Jesus God and then we see that he wrestles with God and wins in our spiritual walk we need to be people that see God we need to wrestle with God and win by wrestling I mean through prayer and be Victorious and then when on his way he sees his brother and he he meets his brother and then we see Jacob going off course but then his initial command was to go to Bethel but we see that after all he got all his possessions and he became a rich man that Jacob went off course and built a home and was comfortable in s Hallelujah we see a Jacob that has forgotten the command of the Lord instead of going to bethl he went to Su we see a Jacob that has forgotten the command of the Lord and now is living comfortably buil built a city in Su and dear children of God if you live leave the presence of God God will touch you and we see that when he’s living his comfortable life in Suk that his daughter is one and only daughter Dina is going on a little cruise around the city Hallelujah and we we know the story of what happened to Dina and and ultimately the father Jacob says you have made my life uh very rotten and and oh Jacob because you were commanded to go to bethl but instead you changed course and went to Suk and now your life is like this we will ruin the condition of our life if we take uh do not choose the Victorious path that God has given us and instead choose our own path he was the cause of shame in his land Jacob said you have now made me in a bad condition and this type of condition came into his life and we see that God did not leave Jacob but in 351 he says arise go up to bethl and dwell there God is telling him you don’t need you went to Sak but you need to remember the Bethel where you put the Altar and worshiped me the holy spirit is advising us today if you have forgotten what the word of God has spoken to you and you are living in the Comforts of this life he is telling us to come back today and he told him in verse one arise go up to bethl and dwell there make an altar there to God the God who appeared to you when you fled from the face of your brother Esau many times these days people are putting altars what in places that suit them or is in their convenience dear children of God we did not come on our own favor but it is God that has brought us to bethl God is the one that separated us and brought us here and if we are running after possessions and wealth The God Who dealt with Jacob will also deal with us let me make my word short this morning isn’t the God who guided us this many years victoriously with us today didn’t he while many people in 2024 around us passed away or stumbled hasn’t he upheld us thus farjah from the moment that he separated us has he not been with us even the Valley of the shadow of death did he not tell us not to be afraid is didn’t he continuously encourage us and guide us even the situation of the broken well didn’t he lift us up and guide us even in the situations of the overflowing banks of the Jordan did he not guide our steps and bring us thus far even the staff that was given to Moses when he separated the sea into two did he not guide them through has not this word of God guided us fruitfully thus far even in the midst when other people around us are asking will these bones live did he not rise us up make us an army and make us live again did he not in the loneliness of Patmos give John the to move forward is In the Heat of K in the the Wilderness even though in the midst of that did he not guide us is he not the god that even though Peter was destined and scheduled to Die the next day he brought him out of the prison just like that how many countless wonders God has done in our life in the midst of sickness and trials and troubles and anguish in the midst of all these things when we could not move forward the Victorious Christ led us forward victoriously as he the the keeper of Israel victoriously stood by us the one who does not Slumber or sleep what can we give in return to him what do we have in our possession to give back to him he doesn’t want any of your possessions but give yourself to him this morning as Abraham went to give Isaac as a sacrifice but but let us sacrifice ourselves in pour our ourselves as a sacrifice let us be a sacrifice to him and that is the only thing we can give to the Victorious Christ so let us give ourselves so as Mary said let as your word says let it happen to me can we submit ourselves the Victorious Christ is the one that is with us not to be counted among those who are defeated and so the time is moving forward let us submit ourselves in the midst of the word that we heard many times we are counted among those who have lost he has not called us to be among those who are defeated because is the Victorious one he carries the victory flag he is Jehovah Nissi he is Jehovah shalam and May the peace of God be with us this morning may this God bless us and I thank and praise God for the church and the servant of God for giving me this time and may God
