The God Who Hears Our Weeping
The God Who Hears Our Weeping
Scripture: Psalm 6 : 8
Through the lives of David, Hezekiah, Joseph, Martha, Mary, and ultimately Jesus Himself, we see a God who hears our prayers, walks with us through suffering, fulfills His promises, and comforts us in every season.
Psalm 6 verse 8
For the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. The Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. – The God Who Hears Our Weeping Let us raise our hands and confess that the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping weeping in the previous times. The Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. He is the Lord that hears the sound of our weeping. foreign. Many times in the past days when you were weeping, maybe your loved ones and your relatives could not hear that, but the Lord God heard the sound of your weeping and delivered you. Psalm six is the psalm of pent by David. The first verse says, “Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger. Do not discipline me in your wrath.” The Lord disciplines and the Lord also saves. Red chicken for those who walk away from the Lord and do not listen to his word. Uh God will discipline them not to hurt them, not to punish them, not to destroy them, but to bring them back to close to the Lord and into a heart of listening. Jeremiah, the book of Jeremiah says chapter 10 verse 24 says, “Lord, do not discipline me in your anger or wrath, but save me. Many times the Lord will discipline us but not this not in his wrath but in kindness in justice. The psalmist here cries out, “I am weak and be gracious to me, Lord. My bones are shaking, so heal me.” The Lord God Emmanuel who is with us, he supported us. He healed us when we were suffering in the past times. When our bones were shaking, he healed us and he delivered us. Hallelujah. He was merciful with us and that is all the reason we are here with him. Here the psalmist says the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. The L King David knows a God who was with him when he cried out in his suffering and in his problems. The same God who delivered him from them. Many times we forget how great was the God’s hand that delivered us from our problems that um that almost destroyed us. Many times opportunities or circumstances of weeping may enter our lives. Many times we have long size because of our trouble. Many times our dear ones depart from us and that can shake us. Sometimes in our joy also we weep out. We cry out. When all the promises and prophecies about us are fulfilled for our children also, we then may also cry out before the Lord. We can see many types of weeping in the Bible. In the book of Isaiah chapter 38, we read about King Hezekiah who became terminally ill. Oh, at that time the Lord sends the prophet Isaiah to him and says, “Put your affairs in order for you are about to die. You will not recover. Put your affairs in order. You are about to die. Hallelujah. Do we uh actually crumble out when we uh hear such a prophecy? Ouria turned his face to the wall and praised to the Lord. Praise the Lord. I remember how faithfully and wholeheartedly I have walked before you and done what pleases you. When we are facing trouble in our life, are we able to do pray like a Hezekiah? is very confident here to declare before the Lord, I have faithfully stood and walked before the Lord. rather than falling back upon our traditions. So we need to be standing in the presence of the Lord. Rather than falling upon back upon our fasting we did in the past or or the the baptism we took in the past, we need to uh examine ourselves and walk before the Lord in a clean heart. Before the prophet crosses the front yard, the Holy Spirit again speaks to him. Go back and tell Hezekiah that he is going to be delivered. If you dear my dear ones, if we are able to fall on our knees before the Lord, he is able to deliver us from whatever evil. Today our knees is the distance between our problem and God’s deliverance. When Hezekiah looked into the face of the Lord, 15 years were added to his life. It is the Lord’s mercy that has upheld us up to this point. Oh, when the death came calling up to our door, it was the Lord God who delivered us and brought us up to this point. This passage teaches us the Lord does not cross over our prayers. So let us kneel down in prayer. Hallelujah. Let us have something to reap and present before the Lord from our own lives. Hallelujah. Whatever we have here materially, we cannot take it across to eternity. But what we can take with us to eternity is what we did for the Lord. Hallelujah. Back in India when somebody passes we bring the dead body to the house and put it inside the house and we pray. But however in the United States doesn’t matter how rich you are you after your death your body will not be brought to your house or however great a house you have it will be taken to the funeral home and from there to the grave. It teaches us something. Hallelujah. There is many things to learn from that. We It teaches us that all we have earned materially, we cannot even see that. We have to leave everything behind and go forward. If we do any acts from the away from the Lord, it is all it all ends with here. So let us prepare ourselves for that eternity. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let us have something like Hezekiah to confess before the Lord, I have walked faithfully and wholeheartedly before you. Let us cry out before the Lord today morning. Let us confess whatever good the Lord has done for us. We can enjoy everything that the Lord has given us. But with that come to the presence of God and cry before the Lord. Do not forget the Lord and walk with the world with all the blessings the Lord has given us. Hallelujah. We can uh swipe our credit card and get whatever we want. But one day when the Lord swipes us, what will he find? is coming when the Lord is going to evaluate you. Nothing other than our deeds of righteousness, we stand going to stand there in the presence of God. Let us come back before the Lord so that all the prophecies and promises about us be from the Lord will be fulfilled. Let us cry before the Lord. Let us get close to the Lord. The time is coming towards its end. The days are being numbered. There is many wars and all the news of wars around the world. There are many other illnesses that is going around. Let us turn our face to the Lord. Uh there is another saint who cried before the Lord, Joseph. In Genesis 45, we read, “Joseph cried out loud and the pharaoh and his household heard it.” Joseph was crying out aloud. Let be in prayer. My dear ones, Holy Spirit is speaking to us today morning. Joseph did not cry because he was in grief of any death. He cried because he had a vision 21 years back. One of his dreams was there were many sheav in the in the field and everyone’s sheav fell down and bowed down before my sheep. Because of his dream, all the rest of his brothers, they hated him. Hallelujah. He was his father’s favorite son and the father gave him a a a gown that meant blessing and because of all that his brothers hated him. And one fine morning the brothers decided to kill him. My dear ones, in this boat of life, we do not know where the storm is coming against us. Hallelujah. Because of his dream, his brothers hated him. So he was first thrown into a pit and from there he was sold and he ended up in Egypt. We know all that story. He ends up in the pharaoh’s court because Pharaoh has a dream and nobody can interpret his dream. And because he was able to the interpret the king’s dream, he ended up in the court of the king. Just as he interpreted the dream, seven years of abundance and after that seven years of famine came. When there was famine in Egypt, there was also famine in the Canaan. When Jacob heard there was grain in Egypt, he sent his sons to Egypt. Hallelujah. Now the brothers are in Egypt with the gifts to get grain from the king. Joseph is now the ruler in the land. Hallelujah. His brothers are unable to recognize Joseph who is now the ruler of the land. Joseph directly was distributing the grain to everyone. At this time all his brothers come before Joseph and fall down and bow before him. His brothers could not recognize him. But Joseph immediately recognizes his brothers and he remembers the vision 21 years back and he’s crying out now. Hallelujah. If you and I are a child of God, we have a power of discernment. Sometimes we may lose our brain to recognize others because we get so blessed. Joseph cries out because his brothers can’t recognize him. But he recognizes his brothers and he remembers the wishes and his loud cry heard by the pharaoh and his household in his palace. Hallelujah. When the father uh in the New Testament looks far away, he sees his prodigal son coming back so far away. There is a Lord who listens to our weeping. There is a Lord who cries with us who is with us. There is a Lord Jesus Christ who wipes our tears who is with us. He is the one who told us do not fear. He is the one who told us that I will be with you always. He is a God who never changes his word. Inside Joseph’s heart, there is a love for his brothers. When we read 45, Genesis 45:1 and2, we see that Joseph is hugging, embracing his brothers and crying out. Hallelujah. Joseph is crying out here because not because of any grief in his life but only because the promises about him has been fulfilled. Now how much time do we separate to cry out and we pray with the tears the presence of the Lord for all the blessings he has given us. What will I give back for all the blessings I have received from him? The Lord God who helped me from thy tears from my eyes and my feet from stumbling. Hallelujah. Oh, what a good God do we have. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. In the book gospel according to John when we come to Lazarus house. Hallelujah. Now Jesus is crying or shedding tears because he saw Martha crying and the Jews with her crying. Hallelujah. Oh the father God we worship is a God who cries with us. Oh we worship a God who is our father who knows our needs. Jesus has been to their house many times before. He did not go to their house when he heard that Lazarus was sick. Many Jews might have ridiculed them because he cannot do anything. That’s why he’s not coming. After the death and burial on the fourth day, Jesus arrives. Martha and Mary who cried who sat before his feet one time now they are telling him it’s been four days he is gone if you believe you will see the glory of God If you pray with the faith in the presence of God, whatever problem it is, God is going to declare his glory in your life. Many times we give importance to get counsel from uh wise ones around us rather than sitting in the presence of God. Many times we approach others who have gone through the same experience and how they got counsel rather than sitting in the presence of God. Many times because of all that path is shut down. That’s when we turn to God. when we had nothing one time in our life we would never do that but we would always uh enter our rooms and close the doors and kneel before God now we have so many things and so many friends now we go for legal counsel rather than going before God. But there is a God who will bless you if you follow him first. Everything else shall follow you. Jesus heart is shaken when he sees Martha and the Jews with her crying. We don’t have to ask him. But he is a God who takes compassion and cries with us. A father who cries with us. So let us come down to our knees before that father. In Psalms 84:6 we read uh when we when they pass through the valley of Ba they make it a source of spring water. There is a God who changes your experience of tears. There is a Lord God who is able to heal us from our sickness. A God who can change us or deliver us from our problems. Do not look at others around you. But if you are a child of God, look unto him and he is there with you. Only if we cry out with tears, we get an answer from the Lord. We need to cry out for a reply from the Lord. A Lord who saw Hezekiah’s tears. A Lord who had compassion when he saw Martha and Mary crying. He is with us today morning. How you need? How should we cry? Joel 2 12 says or with a full heart turn to God and pray with a full heart with fasting with tears with weeping. Let us turn towards our God. He is a God who surely bless us. He will surely listen to our prayers. He will surely hear the voice of our prayer. The Lord listened to my weeping. The Lord has heard my request. The Lord will receive my prayer. So let us come to his feet today morning. A Lord who listens to our cries. A Lord who listens to our prayers. A Lord who wipes our tears. Oh he is with us today morning. Oh we have to settle our issues with him alone. So let us surrender before him. Let us surrender before the word be heard. Let us cry out that the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping in the past life experience. Only God’s word can deliver us. Oh, human help always has its own limitations. If we cry out before others, they might share our experience with others and mock us. But if we cry out before the Lord, he will delivers us. Matthew 27 we read the Lord cries out and then later he cries out and leaves his soul. the Lord who cried out for us on the cross. A man who knew no sin is crying out for our sake. Jesus confesses before the Lord, everything has been finished. Everything has been fulfilled in 33 and a half years. Oh, towards the end of our lives, we need to have that same confidence. The Lord will ask us This is not without account the Lord has given us all these years. This is not just to get married and have two children and live our lavish life. The Lord has called us. also have a plan in the presence of God. The Lord has a plan about us and we need to enter into that plan. After our time, our children should stay in the Lord. We need to train them to carry this ark. Even if the Lord does not ask us account about any others, he will ask us account of our children. Oh, it is our children are a gift from the Lord. The parents have the authority to correct and discipline their children. Hallelujah. One of the passages blame Eli the priest for not disciplining his children. So it is our responsibility to correct and discipline our children. Let us be parents who cry out for our generations. Let us make a decision that I am a parent. I’m going to be a parent who is going to cry for my children. Hallelujah. When we enter into eternity and later our children also should join us in eternity. If we are there in eternity and our children are not there in eternity, how waste that would be. We cannot have any guarantee that whatever we earn, they are going to enjoy it. If we train them in the word, we can go confidently before the Lord. He he listens to our weeping. What you what problem are you crying about? Is it about your generations? Is it about your sickness? There’s a God who is sufficient enough to answer your prayers. May the Lord bless us with these words. I express my gratitude to the church. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah
