Solidarity in the Spirit

Before beginning from the word of God I just want to share an imaginary story. Once in the heaven, a big shopping mall like God the Father, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit went for shopping. While they were looking for the best church, they saw a lot of churches. White Church, black church, Asian church, Philippian church, IPC, so many churches. I want to put one one name also which I have not still forgotten very different type of when I went to Manakala for study. So in 2000 I heard from my one of my friend I think that church might be in Kotarak or any there was a church called So many churches are there Christ what the father told to Jesus my son as you have come from the world earth back here second song I just don’t want preer which type of church And Jesus will say my father I will just use the principle of one of the best practices of human resource management in India those who are HR manager they used to build the capacity of the employees. So we have to think some important questions. Let us think upon our in ourself. Let us look into our heart and ask the question are we in the church which Jesus had envisioned. Are we able to enjoy the privileges and power of church which Jesus has put gifted to the church? If yes, you are telling yes, I am in that church. Then second question, are you able to express the love of God unconditionally? Then if your answer is no, that I I can love certain but I cannot love all that means you are telling no. Then if no, if you’re telling no, have you tried to investigate the failures to enjoy? Why are you not able to enjoy these things? Have you able have you ever investigate? But are you serious about being member of a church not looking in how the IPC goes or AG goes? I’m not telling about the branded. Okay, I’m not telling about that. Now if you have investigated then two things can come either you blame on the church or you blame yourself. So today as the time is short I just want to fix on one particular topic and I I honestly and I’m convinced that that holy spirit’s movement is there in our church everything why I’m today I’m telling is that the things on which I was meditating that Manu Pasel when the worship session started he pointed out that particular verse that was the Jesus high priestly prayer for not that 11 disciples but what what Manu pastor told that was for the for the believers who will come through the 11 disciples. So in that the last portion Jesus said that as we are one my father let they also be. So it is about on that point I want to give the message that is the actually the power of the church belongs in the unity not on individual not in the pastor but how many kurbaram is there in the pastor it’s depending upon the unity of the church don’t say today’s worship was not blessing don’t say you are also responsible for that we are responsible for that I am responsible for If I am not enjoying the worship system, it is I am the responsible person. There was a time when I used to hate going to the church. Same pastor, same believers because we had a pastor for 30 38 years, same pastor, same worship, same songs. But when Christ came into my life, then everything become very precious. Hallelujah. So whose fault it was? It was my fault. I was not knowing the Christ only. I was doing peripherally. Hallelujah. Is it a very big topic? Let’s start from Jesus. He always emphasize on. But amazing thing is that if you read the epistles of all the epistles, I think the It was St. who more emphasize on the unity and I don’t know how what type of wisdom we have from the I just am jealous of that even that 11 disciples or for example Peter has written the gospel has written the epistl John has written the epistl but the most powerful expression of Jesus love to to the church. I have found in the letters of Paul what Paul said bride. John never said bride. Okay. In the epistles which he has written he never said church as the bride of Jesus Christ. But in revelation he has written. When Peter has written the epistles in that also what is written just a church. But it is Paul who pro put who who put out before the before the believers that church is something very much precious to make the believers understand so that they take seriously that while they are in the church. So for that Jesus Christ says that the Paul said that Paul got the revelation from Lord Jesus Christ. So what he said this is the body it is the body of Christ. Church is the body of Christ and you are the member of it. So don’t take it very casually when when he saying that you are the part of the body of the Christ that means so much responsibility is there another thing what he said was that the bride of Christ and when he wanted to emphasize on the relationship between husband and wife he said just as Christ loved the church similarly you should also love your wives. Hallelujah. All the most of their every epistles all get so much emphasize on on the unity of the church being same mind, same mind, one spirit, one baptism, one God. membership. If today that type of church was existing, I have only seen one church and that was very small church where one person was uh speaking in tense other person who translate it. That has only one once once in my life. So it was a if you put this today this church it’s a very great church. unity among you. So sexual immorality took the first first major problem of this word priority. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. What type of person? We understand the power of God. I’m not talking about the power of the Holy Spirit. It is the power of the unity of the church. That unity of the church doesn’t mean that I call believers at my home and give them. It’s not like that. It’s not like that. Calling some some with some we have good connection. That is a spiritual. That is not the spiritual. That is not the spiritual. Hallelujah. Let us read one verse. 1 John 4:12 and 13. If you look at verse 12, it is written that no one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwell in us. This is a conditional clause. If if if what is the if means if it is not there then it will not if is a it is a conditional clause. When you fulfill that okay we can come here we can pray we can do worship we can preach we can lead worship everything we can do no problem in that but if that is to happen. What is that? If the God has to dwell in us, it’s it’s a plural form. It’s not singular. It is not you. God not dwelling in you. What it is? God dwelling in us. And it’s a very inclusive word. So in that who is there included? involved. Hallelujah. That mean everyone should be involved in that. If that is that’s how the church goes then God really dwells and when God dwells then people can see people cannot see God. But when we are living in that particular existence then people say God is there. Hallelujah. God is hallelujah. So that’s why it’s very important. Now for example for Jesus told to Peter that you are the rock and on you I will build the church. Now we all remember the incident of Holy Spirit coming. We know the the things which which happened. What is the what are the things that happened? things happen is that when they were praying the Holy Spirit came upon them they were filled and Peter began to preach and Lord had added thousands of people to the church that is the effect okay but what is the process said that these things will happen okay but how that happened. You know what? What’s very simple thing? They were all together. They were all They were all together for one purpose, with one conviction, with one belief. That is the process. We all like we all like the consequences or we all like the promises of God. But do we cling on to hold on to the process? Last time said that without there is no. If there is a then is a if there is no aasta then there is no aasta. Hallelujah. And we all like aasta only. We never like the vasta because it’s hard to practice. It’s very hard to practice. See the change in the life of the the disciples. The disciples really became disciples when Christ went. Hallelujah. You know who who was the brother of Jo uh Peter. Sorry, I I’m asking now. That’s the metaphor I have to use because they all very selfish people. All the 11 disciples were very selfish people like us. Very selfish even when Christ was with them. So you can be a selfish people if you are a member of IPC Arizona or you can be the selfish people even you are in the member of the pastor demon. Okay, that can happen. So Christ was with the disciples but there was no unity among the disciples. One mother came. Mother is very selfish. Mothers are very selfish for their kids. So the mother of John and James came and asked Jesus Christ when you are having when you will legally inherit the kingdom at that time I want to ask something that allow my children to not asking for Peter to whom they asking James and John but now when when they are filled with the Holy Spirit when their lives were changed I’m telling when their lives were changed why I have to tell when the lives were changed We every every we all have holy spirit but the question is are our lives changed? Okay, holy spirit is there but are our lives changed? Their lives were changed. Now Peter and John can go together and pray. Hallelujah. They don’t have any problems. Oh that is not serve. You might pastor this this example is not that much okay another example. Hallelujah. Once an incident happened in Galatian. There was a big love party going on in Galatians Church of Okay. eating food with Gentiles. Peter was eating food with them. When the when the Judais Judaism part the party belonging to Judaism when they came that believers came and suddenly what happened? Peter stood up and he joined with the Judaizers. He left the gentile converts. He stopped the association for a brief time with the gentile association. Remember this man had remember the first message I gave that was from coral news and God had a hard time to convince Peter to go to gentile then also he was not now also is following that little bit is there caral nature is little bit there in Peter also so because of that what did Peter did Peter didn’t want to go with the Hallelujah. I can say that he’s not even a pastor. He might might be till now got at that time he might be an evangelist. So Paul went Peter what you are doing is not right. It is not that he was following the principles. Come out. Come, come in the room privately. I will tell. No, publicly Paul said that what you are doing is not right. You have to sit with the Gentiles also. You are now you are propagating a different gospel. My dear brothers, I also had suffered this problem in my church. I had to pray for one family. My God take this family from this church. I don’t want this family. I had literally I had prayed and what what did that now this this family was coming from high cast family and all my new converts were from schedulecast family. The problem is that whenever I arrange meeting in the schedulecast family, this will not come. They will not come and I arrange meeting in this high cast family, they will come. But they are feeling very uncomfort uncomfortable. So one day what happened uh the lady from the high cast was admitted into the hospital. So I told my believer’s phone everyone should visit that and pray for the lady and come. So this family the members from the seducas family went there and prayed. After that their relatives were there. They are telling you are coming you are sitting with this type of people. From that time onwards they never enter the church. So are they really the members of Christ? Are they really the members of the body of the Christ? So don’t take it for granted. They are still believers. All are believers. So [Music] humble person accepted what Paul said. My dear brothers, we can stumble. We can stumble. We may stumble. We need when we stumble, we should be more humble. Hallelujah. Understand when we stumble, what should happen in our life? We should be more humble. Hallelujah. So God can lift you up. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. somewhere and David David did worse to sin than what Saul did. Natan came and told that you have sinned. What David David did? We cry, be humble. So we may all stumble but what we have to do become humble. Hallelujah. So that means even Paul said so much drastic word no to Peter they didn’t have any they can go together. Hallelujah. My beloved brother Paul who is full of wisdom of God. His readings are very hard. Paul also was very much connected with lovingly with whom? So this is what unity unity is not as for our convenience. It is not for our convenience. There was lot of things to speak but I don’t want to continue. One incident I want to share and then I will conclude my message. In 1989 there was a big movement in Poland known as the solid solidarity movement. And this moment was able to throw away the very powerful communist rule. Remember that was the time when Russia was having a cold war with America. Eastern Europe was full under the control of the communist rule. And in Poland the people’s condition were worse. People were without any power. People were without any rights because communist rule was very strict at that time. Pope John Paul II came there because he was from Poland. He came there and gave a message that is the right human rights and the people who were so much affected they came together and started a peaceful movement and then what happened the communist rule was overthrown away and the leader of that moment well he said that if there was no pope there wouldn’t have been solidarity. If there wouldn’t have been solidarity, then communist rule would have never gone. Now I want to put in this way. If there is no Jesus, there is no solidarity. And if there is no solidarity, then you will be defeated in your life. The church The church’s purpose will fail only we can exist peripherally.
