Pastor Anil Mathew was born and raised in a Pentecostal home in Gujarat, India. His relationship with Jesus Christ moved beyond tradition to a faith that he could call “his own” at the age of 23 where he gave his life wholly to Christ. This forever changed the trajectory of his faith journey and planted a seed for evangelism in his heart. 

In 1999, he surrendered his life for mission work in North India and in the following year, he pursued a Theological degree at Faith Theological Seminary, Manakala, Kerala. After graduation in 2004, he worked as a Missionary Trainer in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. In 2005, after his marriage, he made his way back to Gujarat and served as a project manager for Bridge of Hope, a local mission organization now known as Bethel Child Development Center. After completing a Bachelors in Education and a subsequent Masters in Social Work degree, he taught in a local school and served as an itinerant missionary in Surendernagar where he was able to start a local church. He served as its pastor from 2010 until January 2025. He was ordained for ministry in 2024 as he continued to serve as the pastor of this local church. In January 2025, God opened a door for him and his family to move to Arizona. Pr. Anil is currently working as an Extended Foster Care Coach with Christian Family Care, Phoenix. He works with at-risk young adults ranging from the age of 18 through 21. He helps foster these young adults’ overall holistic development by providing counseling in an effort to transition them into successful independent living.
