Rivers of Living Water
Rivers of Living Water
Scripture: John 7:37-39
Greetings to you all in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Uh I consider this as a great privilege and a great honor to stand here this morning uh and to minister to you all from uh God’s word. Uh the word that God has put in my heart for church this morning. Uh it’s good to see a lot of faces here today. Uh I pray that as as we prayed uh that we will receive the power of the Holy Spirit uh mighty here uh in this in this congregation today morning church. Get precheck. Gore is gloven. Juan poor. I am poor. I am poor. I am poor. I am poor. I am Keep him snake to me. for prochech. Can we sing it together? for I am poor. I am poor. I am congregation today morning. I only have one prayer, the satisfaction that we have in our heart right now. The satisfaction that we carry in our heart, I only have one prayer today morning that we will keep that satisfaction aside and say, “Lord, I need more. I want you more. I want your presence more and I want you more. As we sang a few minutes ago, Jesus is all we need and we love you, Jesus. Can you pray with me today morning congregation that Lord, would you generate in me a thirst? Would you generate in me a thirst for your Holy Spirit? Would you generate in me a thirst to receive from you today morning? It’s I need more youngsters. Can you pray with me? I need more Lord. I need more of you. I need more of you. There is nothing better there is nothing better in this world than than the Holy Spirit than the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Children, can can you say, “Lord, I need more.” Open your mouth and say, “Lord, I need more.” Open your mouth and say, “I need more. I need more of you.” Yes. I need more of you, Jesus. I need more of you. I need more of you, Holy Spirit, today morning. Father God, we come into your presence. We praise you and we give you all glory and honor that you alone deserves. Lord, we come into your presence with a heart that is full thirsting for you, Father. Lord, a heart that is longing for your presence. We pray today morning, Lord, that you will fill us from the crown of our heads till the sole of our feet. Lord, we pray today morning that you will drench us with the Holy Spirit. Talk to us today morning. Evoke that that evoke that thirst in our heart. Father Lord, bless our time together in your son’s mighty name I pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. If you all could turn with me to John chapter 7. John chapter 7 37-39. Excuse me. John 7 37 to 39. Can somebody read that in English? Yes. Mhm. Yes. Mhm. Mhm. Living water. Yes. Mhm. The Holy Spirit was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified. To fully understand the importance of this verse, we have to unpack the events. We have to unpack the event that is happening uh in the further in the very beginning uh of this chapter. Chapter 7, right? Jesus Jesus himself is proclaiming this. Jesus himself is saying this. If you look at your script, if you have a scripture that has like red writings on it, that means Jesus is speaking, right? So Jesus himself is speaking uh these same verses that we just read today. So he’s proclaiming these words. If if anyone thirst, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in me, as the scriptures has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. So Jesus is proclaiming this at a major Jewish festival. A very famous and very uh major Jewish festival in their tradition. It is called the feast of tabernacles. Can can everybody say the feast of tabernacles? The feast of tabernacles. In the Hebrew language it’s called sukkot. Sukkot. So in this festival what they do in in the feast of tabernacle festival what they do uh is they commemorate the 40 years of their life in wilderness. The 40 years that they spent in wilderness they commemorate how God was with them. How God provided for them. How God was with them as a pillar as a light as a sun. Everything in all their needs and all the aspects of their life. They are commemorating for 40 years the goodness of God that God has done at the feast of tabernacles. So they will dwell the Jewish uh people they will dwell in a temporary tent. That’s why it’s called the feast of tents. So they will they will they will make a small tent. They will come and sit in the tent and they will have their first fruits hanging on the tent. The first fruits that they have it will be hanging uh on this temporary tents. That’s why it’s called the feast uh of the tabernacles. the Talmud which is which is which is a Hebbrite book which talks about the different Hebrew traditions and different Hebrew Hebraic discussions. So the Talmud uh calls this custom a holy day. It identifies this day as a holy day and the priest would take a picture picture here. So the priest would take a picture not a picture picture with which we uh fetch water. So the fe the priest would grab a pitcher and he will go down to the pool of Siloam. The pool of Siloam. The pool of Siloam, right? And he will fetch water from the pool of from the pool of Siloam. And then he will come back to the temple. He carry the water and he will return to the temple. And the crowd who that was there at that time, they will form a procession behind him. So they will form a procession behind him as the priest would go uh to the pool of Siloam to fetch water from the pool of Salom. So they the priest would fetch the water from the pool of Siloam and he will return uh to to the temple and the crowd that is there will form a procession uh behind the priest and they will sing songs dance on their way back uh to the temple right and they will do this for six days. Six days uh they will do do the same manner. They will go to the the priest will go to the pool of Silo and fetch water come back. Likewise for six days they will do it. On the seventh day which is the last day on the seventh day uh as they will go uh and and as they were coming back uh there will be seven processionals not one processionals seven processionals and the priest will come back and pour water on the altar. Are you able to picture what I’m saying? I want you to picture what I’m saying. Okay? So the six days the priest is going to pull siloam fetch water coming back. On the seventh day he will go and there’ll be seven processionals and when the seven processionals they return to the temple the priest will pour water unto the altar onto the altar. Right? Imagine this setting. Imagine picture this setting. Picture the setting where all this is happening. In midst of this Jesus Christ is standing up in midst of this uh when this event is happening Jesus Christ is up right and he’s prophetically speaking he’s prophetically speaking to his people and says that if anyone thirst if anyone thirst if anyone thirst let him come to me and drink let him come to me and drink. So in that scenario, in that setting, Jesus Christ is saying if anyone thirst, come to me and drink. Let me tell you church, even I don’t know if this is postmodern, post-truth, what kind of era angsters, what kind of era we are in? Post truth, postmodern, I don’t know, but let’s say post-truth or postmodern. Well, even in this era, the whole the spirit of the lord has only one thing to tell you. The spirit of the Lord has one thing to ask you. Are you thirsty for me? Are you do does your heart thirst for me? Does your heart thirst for me? Even in this modern times, even this postmortem post-truth era, the Holy Spirit is do you thirst for me? Do you thirst for me? Let me tell you, there is no theological exposition needed in this passage. We don’t need to do like a debate. We don’t need to do like an apologetic setting to uh uh to understand what Jesus is talking about, right? Because in the next verse itself, it says, “But he but this he spoke.” This is verse 39. But this he spoke concerning the Holy Spirit. So he’s talking about the uh the Holy Spirit outpouring that is going to happen in Acts in in the book of Acts in the upcoming uh uh uh the chapters, right? So he is talking about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. If anyone thirst, let him come to me. Look at the language yesterday. We talked about the language that Paul was using when he was speaking to the churches in Thessalonia. Right? Here Jesus is also saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me.” The language kind of totally bothered me. Right? Because Jesus is clearly telling his disciples, he’s clearly telling his uh the people who are listening to him, come to me. Come to me. Let me tell you church in in other words there is some kind of there’s a part that we need to play. Some people only believe uh in in the spiritual things right they only believe uh whatever happening in the spiritual realm they don’t believe in what’s happening in the physical realm. I believe we need to play we have a vital role in our lives. We ourselves have a vital role in our lives. God is not looking at uh t people with lot of talents in this generation. Are you as we saying are you are are you set aside? Are you separated? I don’t know where my sermon is going. Holiness is coming. It’s not in the script. Holiness is a very vital thing. It’s a very vital part. Right? You can’t go to pub on a Saturday night and come back on a Sunday morning and sing Jesus, you’re holy. You’re holy. Can’t do that. Well, Christmas is coming. Let me have let me have a bottle of beer. No, it’s not in the scripture. You can’t do that. Holiness is a very important thing. Holiness is very vital. That’s why Paul That’s why Paul said we don’t the light doesn’t have any fellowship with darkness. We as the light of the world doesn’t have any relationship with darkness. That’s why we that’s why that’s why all the fighting that when you when you celebrate Halloween. How many of you heard of a pastor called John Ramirez? John Ramirez. One sister nodded her head. John Ramirez was a uh warlock. That’s a language. I don’t know what it is. So he was uh somebody who was doing mystical stuff. Right? And he came to know Jesus Christ. He left his entire uh former life. He’s now a preacher, former warlock, the man who spells upon people, spells curses upon people. He tells and says, “Christians, don’t celebrate Halloween.” I don’t know why I’m talking about it. Halloween is already over. But he he gets up and says, “Don’t celebrate Halloween because you’re inviting the evil spirit to come and have fellowship with you. I’m sorry preachers don’t preach to anyone, but I wanted to say it. You can’t have that. You can’t have like a beautiful church life and after after Sunday there’s a different life. That’s not how God works. Holiness plays a vital part in everything in our lives in each and every aspect of of our life. So therefore Christ is telling if you are thirsty come to me. That means there is an action that needs to come from my side. Right? When Jesus says on the day of the feast of tabernacles, if you’re thirsty, come to me. That means I have to make the move and come to him. If I’m thirsty, if I’m thirsty, I need to move move the I I need to I need to make the action to come uh to him. If you’re really thirsty, Jesus says, “Come to me.” The water that you fetch from the pool of Siloam, it won’t quench your thirst. The water that you fetch from the pool of Siloam, it won’t quench your thirst. And not far from now when I am going to be lifted up in Calvary and after the resurrection, I will pour my spirit upon people. when I’m lifted up in Calvary after I’m resurrected as I promised as the prophetical uh writings have said as Joel Joel pro as prophet Joel have said I will pour out my spirit upon each and everybody. Let me tell you church when I say there is an action that is needed from our side. I I want I also wanted to tell something. He also knows who is waiting. Jesus also knows who is waiting. Jesus also knows who is thirsty and he also knows who is going to come to him. When he says that he already know who is going to come to him. That’s why he said come to me those who are thirsty. The call is very specific. Are you are you following me? Uh children, the call is very specific. He didn’t say come everybody. I I’m assuming there’s like probably 500 people at that time in the temple. Jesus didn’t say come everybody. He said come those who are thirsty. The call is very specific. The call is very specific. Are you thirsty today morning? Are you thirsty today morning? Then that call is for you. Then that call is for you. Are you thirsty today morning? If you’re someone who is asking this for so many years, let’s say we we wait upon uh the Holy Spirit for so many years, right? To get infilled uh to get filled by the Holy Spirit, we wait for years. Some people wait for years, some people get it like this. Some people wait four years. I don’t want your heart to uh get, you know, get any kind of trouble. I don’t want your heart to uh declin at the moment. Keep on asking. You may be asked uh for the same thing for years and if it didn’t happen, it’s okay. Keep on asking. Keep on asking, church. Do not stop. Keep on asking until you get it. Until you get it. My time is moving very fast so I’m going to go a little faster. Okay. So what what are the characteristics of this water that Jesus is talking about? When Jesus says come those who are thirsty come come to me and drink. So there is some kind of characteristic to the water that Jesus is giving. So what are the major characteristics of this water? Well the first characteristic is this that this water is free of cost. This water is free of cost. This is free of cost. If you go to Costco, if you wanted to grab one bottle in the machine, the refrigerator that they have, one one, right? 20 30 cents, I don’t know. You have to pay 20 30 cents for one bottle of water. But this water is free of cost. In Isaiah 55:1, can we have it on the screen? Isaiah chapter 55 1, it reads like this. Everyone who thirst, come to the waters. Come to the waters. And you who have no money, come buy and eat. Come by and eat. Yes. Come buy wine and milk without money and without any price. Wow. This is the KJV translation. Oh, everyone that thirsteth come to the waters and he that had no money. How can you buy these things with no money? How can you eat with no money? How can you drink with no money? But Jesus is saying come, come those who have no money because his water is free of cost. The water of the Holy Spirit is free of cost because the price is already paid at the at the cross of Calvary. The price is already paid at the cross of Calvary. That’s why it says there in in this uh in in uh in our in our ma major in our main verse in John chapter 7 39 it says but he but this he spoke concerning the spirit whom those believing in him would receive for the for the for the holy spirit was not yet given for the holy spirit was not yet given right and Jesus is saying come believe those who doesn’t have money come buy these things 55 5:ES 1. Come buy these things because I have paid a price for it at the cross of Calvary. I prayed a price for it. All that is needed at this moment is for you to come to this brook and drink. All that is needed at this time for you is to come to this brook. Come to this water and drink. Pastor, when I said, “Oh, uh, this water is free of cost.” I had a question because I was writing this and I said, “Lord, if this water is free of cost, because from this scriptural portion, I understand it is free of cost. But give me more proof. Give me more proof that that this water is free of cost.” Then he took me then he took me to Isaiah 12:3. Isaiah Isaiah 12:es 3. Isaiah 12 3. Therefore with joy shall you draw water out of the wells of salvation. Can you can you read this church? Therefore with joy shall you draw water out of the wells of salvation. Out of the wells of salvation the water is free. Right. And then I did a study on it. You know what’s you know what’s the Hebrew word for salvation? Anybody? Any guesses? Someone said something. No. The Hebrew word for salvation is Yeshua. It blew my mind. Yeshua. So if this is Yeshua, then therefore with joy shall you draw waters out of the wells of Jesus Christ. Can you imagine that church? That is why this water is free of cost. That is why this water is free of cost. The word salvation originally comes from the word Yeshua. Therefore, the prophet is prophetically telling the Israelites, there is a messianic time coming. Somebody’s going to die at the cross and he’s going to resurrect and he’s going to give salvation to this entire world. And from that wealth, from that Yeshua, you will draw waters. The name Jesus is derived from the same uh word Yeshua. Therefore, this water is free of cost. When I say when this water is free, of course, it also tells one thing. This water doesn’t belongs to IPC. This water doesn’t belongs to Assemblies of God. This water doesn’t belongs to Sharon. This water doesn’t belongs to all the churches that you can name because this water is free of cost because somebody has paid a price for it. Somebody has paid a price for it. One of the translations says springs of salvation. The uh the KJV says the wells of salvation. Springs of salvation. If you’re drawing from the wealths of salvation or the springs of salvation, if you’re drawing from the springs of Jesus, seasons won’t be a problem. Hello. Are you following me, church? If you’re drawing from the spring of Jesus, seasons won’t be a problem. Summer doesn’t matter. Winter doesn’t matter. Seasons won’t be a problem. When you draw from the well of salvation, when you draw from the spring of Jesus, seasons won’t be a problem. Because in summer, this water won’t dry up. In winter, this water won’t be frozen because this is the spring of Jesus Christ. This is the spring of Jesus Christ. And if you’re drawing from the spring of Jesus Christ, there won’t be any scarcity for water. There won’t be any scarcity for water. There will be water all the time. All the time. In and out of season. There will be water. There will be water. It won’t dry up. It won’t freeze up because this is the spring of Jesus. Come those who are thirsty and drink and come buy and eat because I have paid a price for it. In all season, in all season, church, since you’re drawing from the spring of Jesus, water will flow. Water will flow. The second characteristic of this water is this. This water gives you the desire to have it more. This water gives you the desire to want it more. Want it more or have it more. This this water gives you the desire to want it more. So what was the first characteristic? This water is free of cost. Second, this water gives you the desire to want it more. In Psalms chapter 63 1, it reads like this. God, you are my God. Early will I seek you. My soul thirst for you. My flesh long for you. In a dry and a thirsty land where there is no water. Where there is no water. Where there is no water. Lord, my soul thirst for you. My flesh longs for you. Even in a dry and a thirsty land. Let me tell you church, if you drank from the spring of Jesus at least once, it will generate in you a desire to have this water again and again. Yes. Yes. It will generate in you. It will generate in you a desire, a desire to drink more and more daily, every day. No matter what place you are in, no matter what locality you are in, no matter what stage of life you are in, once you tasted this water, once you tasted this water, you will want you you will always wanted to have it again and again. That’s why the parents always cumbels us, right? Because they drank it once. church. Come to this brook. Come to the wells of salvation freely. Freely drink from this. Freely drink from this. The third characteristic of this water. This water will take you to eternity. Eternity. This water will take you to eternity. So the first characteristic was what? Free of cost. Second, yes, it will generate in your desire to have it more. The third characteristic. Yes. This water will take you to eternity. This water will take you to eternity. John chapter 4. John chapter 4. But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst will never thirst. But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become the water that I shall give him will become a well of water springing. A well of water springing. the water that I shall give him, become in him or create in him a foundation of water springing up into everlasting life. Everlasting life. Everlasting life. I’m a preacher who believes that uh if if somebody is preaching a sermon and there is no eternity in it, I don’t I don’t want to listen to that sermon. Eternity Eternity is very important. Eternity is very important. Eternity. This water will take you to eternity. But the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. You know what the NKJV translation says? It says like s it says like this but the water that I shall give him will become in him. So the water that you drank will become in you a fountain of water springing. That means inside of you once you drink from this water in in inside of you God is going to create a fountain. God is going to create a fountain. God is going to create a fountain and that will overflow in you, overflow in you. This water that you drink will give you eternal everlasting life. In Revelation chapter 21:es 1 to3, Revelation chapter 21:es 1-3, then I saw a new heaven and new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And the second verse, and I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride, adorned for her husband. Verse three. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men. Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and he will dwell among them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be among them.” And verse four, “And he will wipe away every tear.” He will wipe away every tear from my eyes, from their eyes. And there will no longer be any death. There will no longer be any mourning or crying or pain. The first thing have passed away. The first thing have passed away. After saying if anyone thirst let him come to me and drink. He who believes in me as the scripture has said out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. Can you turn with me to Acts chapter 2? Acts chapter 2:es 1 to4:es 1 to4. Acts chapter 2:es 1-4. When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of rushing mighty wind and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then they were up and and there appeared to them divided tongues divided tongues as of fire. And one sat upon each of them. And they were they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance. The event that we just read is a pivotal event. Is a pivotal event in church history. I want you all to listen to me. I’m I’m I’m not going to take um uh much time. I’m only going to take 20 more minutes. Listen to me very carefully. Very important part. Okay. So, this event that we just read, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Jesus was forselling this. He was foreseeing this. Okay. Uh it’s a very pivotal event in church history. In fact, a defining moment in church history. The history of church. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is the defining moment is a defining moment in the church history. And as we all know that this is an Old Testament prophecy from where? From Joel. Yes, this is an Old Testament prophecy coming into fulfillment that Joel has prophesied. Right? So to fully understand to fully understand what we just read, we have to we need to read and understand Acts chapter 1. We don’t have time. So you guys do it at home. Acts chapter one, right? In the beginning verses of the chapter uh we read that they came with one accord. They came in one accord. If there is anything that is hard in this entire universe is to bring people on one accord. The hardest thing is to build. The easiest thing is to destroy. Just one word is enough to destroy. Like it only took Jesus one word to heal. It only take one for us to destroy. Just one word from our mouth is enough to destroy. Right? So these people are coming in one accord. If you if you read Acts chapter one, they all came to the place in one accord. Right? So there must be a reason. There must be a reason that they all came to this place in one accord. And what is that reason? Because they heard a voice. They heard a voice. And they heard that voice for so many years. That voice was with the disciples 24/7. 24/7. And Jesus right after resurrection, he’s appearing before his disciples and telling them this is going to happen. Go tarry in Jerusalem. Go tarry in Jerusalem. Right before he’s going to ascend into heavens, he’s telling his disciples, go tar in Jerusalem. They heard that voice and they decided to come in one accord. My question today morning church, what voice have you heard in 21 days fasting and prayer? This is the 20th day. What voice have you heard? What is one voice that you’re carrying? What is one voice that you’re carrying out from this fasting and prayer? One voice. Let me ask you this. What is the one voice that brought you here today morning? What is the one voice that brought you here today this morning? They heard a voice and they decided to come in one accord. When I say one accord, that means one principle. Say one principle. Yes. One principle. That means one principle, one accord. And they’re in a place to receive this, right? And Luke unpacks the very reason in Acts chapter 1 5. Acts chapter 1 vers5 Jesus himself is saying and John truly baptized with water but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now not many days from now. Jesus himself is saying. So this is the this is the reason that they are at this place in one accord. The major reason, the main reason, the primary reason that John truly baptized with water, but I will baptize you in the Holy Ghost. I will baptize you in the Holy Ghost. A very clear voice that led them to the upper room. A very clear voice that read them, that led them to the upper room. Have you seen people coming for one ideology? You see that in political parties, right? one people people all a group of 10 20 30 40 50 people coming in for one ideology and they that’s one ideology and one principle is that what they believe in and they come in just for one thing because Jesus said it I’m going to say a few more things what happens when the outpouring happens I know that we will speak in tongues we will talk about that later but what happens actually when the Holy Spirit come upon people the first thing beyond Beyond borders. Beyond borders. Can somebody It’s not It’s not a military term. Beyond borders. That means this new move will open new borders. New borders for God’s people. When they received the power of the Holy Spirit, they thought that this experience is just going to be condemned in the upper room. is just going to be located in the upper room or it will end with the upper room. But they couldn’t contain it. They couldn’t contain this uh the the new movement. They couldn’t contain the power of the Holy Spirit. Until then, the borders were locked. But right after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the borders automatically opened. The borders automatically opened. In other words, the move of the Holy Spirit is something that you can’t limit. The move of the Holy Ghost is something that you can’t limit. You can in some in some manner, but in reality, you can’t limit it. Even though you wanted to stop the move of the Holy Spirit, you can because the move belongs to God. The Holy Spirit, the move belongs to God. They thought they will end with just 120 people. 120 people in upper room. All right. 120 people. So they thought this movement will end with 120 people. But when the spirit of the god takes full control, when the spirit of the god takes full control, numbers doesn’t matter. Count doesn’t matter. Numbers doesn’t matter. Count doesn’t matter. We read in the uh the the next chapter, the subsequent chapter uh that the church started growing rapidly. The church started growing rapidly. The in the initial count that was recorded is 3,000. 3,000 3,000. When he rece when Peter received the power of the Holy Ghost, he stood up preached the sermon 3,000. Right? And after that, after that you don’t see account. After that you don’t see account. It says God added daily to the church. Daily daily to the church got added. When the outpouring take place, church, when the outpouring take place, such movement is only meant for a certain group of people. When the outpouring broke out, they thought this is just meant for this 120 this this 12. That was the initial thought they had. But in reality, right after the infilling of the Holy Spirit, the apostles cannot condemn themselves. They started traveling. They started traveling and ministering with the power of God to all kinds of people beyond borders. Not just Mallayalis, not just Canada, not just Telangu people. The beyond borders open with the power of the Holy Ghost. How many of you How many of you church do you desire this? Right after this fasting and prayer, people will be added to this church. Our pews won’t be empty. Our pews won’t be empty. Because the Holy Spirit takes full ownership and he will bring in people. He will bring in people. The impulse of Peter, the impulse of Peter was sent to Cornelius’s house so that the household of Cornelius may receive the Holy Spirit. And the entire household came into the salvation experience. I’m talking about the beyond borders, okay? the entire household of uh Cornelius came to uh know about Jesus Christ and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. We don’t have time to read that portion. My question when Peter was sent to Cornelius’s house what what sermon did he preach? You all have read Acts before. Was was the sermon a specialized Holy Spirit focused sermon? That sermon was not a Holy Spirit centralized sermon. Peter was not like a poster boy who will appear on your ICP of posters or any of those things. You know what I’m talking about. Peter went there and if you read that part, Peter preached the gospel. That’s all he did. There was no specialized servant. He just said the pure gospel. If you believe, believe in. If if you wanted to receive the salvation, believe in Jesus Christ. As he was speaking this gospel, the Holy Spirit fall upon people. As this pure gospel was preached, Holy Spirit fall upon those who were sitting there. You don’t need a specialized sermon. You don’t need a specialized pastor to receive the power of the Holy Spirit. When the word is preached to God’s people, the spirit fall upon them. specialized. Peter preached the gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit fall upon people. So the first thing was beyond borders. The second thing divided tongues. Nobody going to talk about tongues. Divided tongues of fire sat upon every people. Say every people. Every people. Some people. This is a new theology that came up I don’t know probably 10 years ago or 5 years ago. Now they say that the Holy Spirit infilling is not for everybody. It’s only for a certain group of people. I don’t believe in that. I’m sorry. I don’t believe in that. It says that the tongues of fire fell upon everyone. That means if if there were 120 people, how many tongues? 120. Everybody had a fire tongue upon their head. When we try for this, when you wait for this, when you tar for this, and when you don’t receive it, this is the first thing that comes to you. Lord, I think this is not for me. I think God doesn’t want it to fill me. Divided tongues of fire sat upon everybody. All who were in the upper room, the 120 people spoke in tongues. And Paul who was not in the upper room at that time, St. Paul or Saul before was not in this group in the upper room writes to the church in 1 Corinthians chapter 14 2. For he who speaks in tongues does not speak to men but to God. Can we have that verse? 1 Corinthians 14 2. 1 Corinthians 14:2. For he who speaks in tongues does not speak to men but to God. But when you speak, however, in spirit, he is speaking mysteries. He’s speaking to God. When the day of Pentecost came, they started speaking mysteries. They started speaking to God in the other language that that only God can understand. You have to desire for that church. If you’re not yet received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, let me tell you, that’s not going to put you in a different category. I’m going to There’s nothing like that. We pray, we’ll pray for that today morning. We’ll pray for that today morning. Lord me we as pastors we can pray we can lay our hands on you but you have to prepare yourself. There needs to be a desire that need to generate in you. Lord I wanted to receive the power of the Holy Spirit. I wanted to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. If you desire it today morning church my Lord will generously pour his spirit upon his people. He will generously pour it out upon his people. One of the preachers, one of the preachers when he was writing about anointing, he was reading a book on anointing. One of the preachers he said anointing means the signature of God. The signature of God. Anointing is the signature of God. Let me tell you church. Once you are filled with the Holy Spirit, once you’re filled with the Holy Spirit, once you walk on this anointing, once you’re filled with the Holy Spirit, and once you walk on this anointing, that means you’re walking with the signature of God. You’re walking with the signature of God. My question, where do we put signature? Where do we put signature? Or why do we put signature? Why do we put signature? Validation. That’s a very good word, huh? Uniqueness. Yes. Approved. Wow. Authenticity. Authenticity. Yeah. Wonderful. Signature also means something. It means if I am signing on something, I am endorsing it. How many of you know the word endorse? Endorse. Endorsing it. That means God is shining on you. God is endors Elvish. God is endorsing Elvish. is putting a signature on you, endorsing you, endorsing you. That means when you stand before and a problem which is high as a giant like Goliath, you are carrying with the signature of God. I feel like preaching pastor Kalpraas. When you receive this power, when you’re filled with with this power, God is putting his signature on you. He’s endorsing you. He’s endorsing you. Endors. Come on. Come on. The Lord who endorses you. Endorses you. divided tongues appear on each and every one of them. My time is going. The third thing, there’s an identical change. There’s an identical change that happened at at the upper room. Identical change. In Acts chapter 27, we read that after hearing the 120 speak in tongues, the Jews that are in that area confused them by saying, “Aren’t these people Galians? How are they speaking our our language? How are they speaking what we are hearing?” The second things that they said after seeing him, they gave them a new identity. They gave them a new identity. You know what the identity was? It was in verse 13 that these people were full of new wine. Full of new wine. These people were full of new wine. That’s what the that’s that’s the identity the world gave them when they heard them speaking in tongues or uh when they were speaking the other tongues that day. The first identical change according to me according to me. The first identical change that happened in the upper room is massive boldness. massive or supernatural boldness. Supernatural boldness. Peter stood up in an unusual boldness. Our church is going through an Acts Bible study. Our youngsters are going through an Acts Bible study. It’s been three or four months. Uh Raja, we are still in Acts chapter 2. There’s so much to speak about it. Right. The first identical change that happened at at at uh at at the at the upper room is supernatural boldness. Peter stood up and preached an unusual sermon and 3,000 people came to faith that day. The supernatural boldness which I call is the action of faith. Is the action of faith. The word that Jesus told Peter in his bot, I will make you fishers of men. I will make you fishers of men being fulfilled here. When Jesus entered Peter’s boat, how many of you know that story? The Sunday school story of Jesus entering Peter’s boat. You all know, right? Jesus entering Peter’s boat and said, “Peter, I’m going to make you fishers of men.” And Peter thought, “When is that going to happen?” At the day of Pentecost, 3,000 people with just one sermon coming to faith. This is the same Peter. This is the same Peter along with John right before the temple at the gate of beautiful heals a lame man who is sick, who is lame from birth. Same Peter along with John. And we were going through this if uh last Wednesday at our church in our Bible study. I said like this to the children. Peter and John, they’ve been daily going to church. Daily going to the temple at the time of prayer, the ninth hour. Every day they’re going, right? And every day when they go, this lame man is sitting here. Every day when they go, the lame man is sitting there asking for amps, begging, right? The same man, Peter and John, every day going to church. Nothing is happening. I’m pretty sure Peter never even looked at that man because he he doesn’t have anything to give. He never looked at that man. Right? But at the day of Pentecost, right after the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, right after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Peter and John are walking to the temple at the time of the prayer, the ninth hour. As he’s walking to the temple, he looked at this man and said, “I don’t have silver or gold. I don’t have silver or gold, but I give you what I have. I give you what I have. Peter, why didn’t you do this three months ago? Why did you do it three months ago? I don’t know. Peter may say, well, I don’t know. This time, there’s some kind of boldness in me. There’s something different. The word that something unique in me. I just wanted to go and lift this man up. And most interestingly in that passage, this is the same temple that Jesus also went to. Jesus have also gone by the same way, the same path. But Jesus never healed him. Can Jesus heal him? He could. Why didn’t Jesus heal him? Come on somebody Arizona in this Arizona city. Lord has preserved some people for you guys for each and everyone here. Jesus wants you to do it. Jesus wants you to do it. But all before all the before all these things, Jesus said, “Go tar tarry in Jerusalem. Terry in Jerusalem. Receive the power. Receive the power and then go. Receive the power and then go.” Bethl Christian Assembly. I’m saying to you all today morning that God has left out some people in the city of Arizona for this church for each and every believers in this church. They’ve been sitting as the at the gate of beauty. Even though their life was not beautiful, they were sitting that man is sitting at the gate of beauty until the right time. Until the right time. Before the infilling, Peter was just Peter was just a normal evangelist, a normal disciple. But now he’s a disciple with supernatural possibilities, supernatural potential, supernatural potential. a little 10 minutes. I wanted to share my testimony and then I’m going to pray for you guys. I was born and brought up in a very traditional Pentecostal family. Very traditional Pentecostal family. As I as I as I said last night, my parents used to take me to all fasting and prayers, the cottage prayers, the Friday morning prayer, all the prayer and I get filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, preaching. I always had some doubt in my heart. That’s that’s that’s a that’s a question I asked the Lord. When are you going to use me? I still remember those days in Philadelphia in a basement. I asked Lord, when are you going to use me? When are you going to use when are you going to use me? I had I had a I had a notion in my heart that Holy Spirit is something that comes at the end of the service. As I as I said last night, the last minute he comes, right? But God proved me wrong. God proved me wrong. I was ministering in a church in Philadelphia and one of the guest pastors from Carerala is ministering in a different church in Philadelphia that morning. Right after ministering, I went to this church because I wanted to pick this guest pastor up. So, I went from my church to the uh other church to pick him up. And when I was entering there, uh the altar call was going on. I How many of you love altra calls? I know. So, the altar call was going on and everybody’s at the front. So, I also went to the front. Everybody’s at the front. I’m also a pastor. So, I went to the front and standing along with the youngsters in Philadelphia. And this pastor uncle was uh uh praying our children and then um we sang a song. Worship was going on. Everything ended. Nothing special pastor. Nothing special happened. Nothing special happened. And I was about to go. So I said to pastor, “Pastor, can we go? It’s pretty late. I wanted to go home. Uh can we go?” Uh and we were about to step out uh through the entrance. We were about to step out. And that’s when uh Holy Spirit is not somebody who comes who come down when you think he doesn’t come according to your whims and fancies in his time. I have more to say, but tonight also we have meeting. Can we all stand in the presence of God? I’m going to ask all the youngsters to come forward. Okay? All the young people here. If you’re 50 and if you think you’re young, you’re welcome, too. All the young people. All right. Right here in the altar. If you have to move chairs, we can move it. I’ll put it back together right after me. All the youngsters, come to the front. Yes. No. Yes. All the young people. I’m also going to ask one more thing from the parents. If your children are here, can you come and stand behind them? If your children are here in the front row. Wow. Come on. Noah. Yes. If anybody is left out, let’s say if your parents are not here, can you raise your hands? If your parent is not here, first passion. Say pastor’s passion. Your passion. Yes. If your parents are not here, come to pastor. Pastor Annel, can you come to pastor Enel if your parents are not here? Okay. Good. Very good. Very good. Just we’re going to pray. This is the next generation that is standing before you. The people who are standing here, this is the next generation. These are the next preachers. Caleb, next preacher. Lord of preachers, preachers for tomorrow, prayer warriors for tomorrow, prophet for tomorrow. And I believe that the the parents who are sitting back are sitting behind behind them are already filled with the Holy Spirit. I want you to lay your hands on them. Okay. We’re going to pray. Parents, the words that come out from your mouth has great power. The words that come out from your mouth has great power. Great, great power. When Hannah cried for a son. When Hannah cried for a son. And God remembered the tears of one Hannah and made Samuel a prophet that is known all across Israel. These are the very precious part of the church. This is the church for tomorrow. This is the church for tomorrow. I remember I remember preaching in Dallas a few months ago, preaching in a church and I I said like this and we we had an altar call like this and I said, “Parents, the words that come out from your mouth is super powerful. There was a 80year-old pastor Mitchi in the church. She ran across the hall laid her hands on eight children the sink out there. Father, we come into your presence. We come into your presence this morning with a heavy heart with a heavy heart. We come into your presence. Fill our children. Fill our next generation. Fill our next generation. Pray for them. Pray for them. Lay your hands on them. Pray for them. Pray for them. Shall come on again. Let no tongues be quiet in this place. Let no tongues be quiet in this place. Ask for the infilling of the Holy Spirit in this place. Ask Lord, Lord, come down to this place. Fill me. Fill me. Fill me. Fill me. Oh, in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. Oh, Holy Ghost come down. Holy Ghost come down. Fill this place. Fill this place. Fill this place.
