Faith Beyond Evidence
Faith Beyond Evidence
Scripture: John 9: 1
May the name of the Lord be praised this morning. And I thank and praise God for the time and opportunity has given me to be a witness for his name in the midst of this congregation this morning. I praise and thank God for my childhood friend, Pastor Manu Thomas. And I thank and praise the Lord that I’m able to see him leading the church in a very anointed way. May God continue to bless him and his family. And also the Kapam family is another family I cannot forget. And I’ve been able to read Pastor Thomas Samuel’s letters and books that he has blessed the church with over the years. And I wanted to recognize him specially. Pastor Daniel Lucas Luc and I thank and praise God for the other servants of the Lord who are in this church. Pastor Daniel Lukose, Pastor Mama Chin Lukose, Pastor Matthew, and I thank and praise God for Pastor Anel Matthew as well. May God bless uh all the dear ones in this church and I greet you all in the matchless name of the Lord this morning and I was able to see Pastor Josh this morning and his father’s messages have inspired me. May God continue to bless his ministry and I’m also grateful to see brother Johnson Lukose and family here. We used to worship together and may God continue to bless your family as well. Manu. And so when I was in seminary school, someone I looked at was Pastor Manu. He is a man of God that very innocently and humbly stands for the the word of the Lord. As Jesus said about Nathaniel, truly he is an Israelite with no deceit. So when I see him, I see he’s not someone that bothers anyone but submits himself to do the work of the Lord. I’m not saying simple flattery. He’s the type of person that even when he walks, he doesn’t want to disturb the ground underneath him. He is he is uh has such a mentality he does not want to he wants to live his life without even disturbing the ants below him and I’m talking to you from decades before and so when in I was not able to see him much and so but now when he has come here I’ve seen him and he has not changed one bit. And I thank God that you have received such a blessed pastor. And my brother-in-law’s son Joshua is here with me. May God bless all of us. Okay. And I my native place is in Carerala. Uh Thomas and Pastor KM Thomas who’s related to me is the one that started the first Pentecostal ministry in our area. And in 1948 uh you know from Kuminad my my uh uh uh forefather came to do the ministry and I thank and praise God as his grandson I’m able to continue to carry the word of God this morning and there are many churches and and and members in the churches I I oversee [Music] And God is continuing to use us for his uh ministry and his kingdom in the area that he has placed us. And so the a part of a big ministry that we’re doing right now is in the front yard ministry. Now there are many restrictions due to co that we could now go in and out of houses like we did before above 50,000 and so when we did a meeting like that we got spent above 50,000 rupees. So we understood that if we owned our own sound equipment we could do it at a much lower cost. And so we desired that and God provided for [Music] us. So what we do is open air meetings in the front yard of our believers homes and the surrounding neighbors are able to hear and come and be blessed. And so for several thousand rupees now a meeting can happen. And so my main ministry is to speak in open air meetings. And so when I was in seminary, I spoke mainly in open air meetings. And God has enabled me to stand at many stops in open air meetings to preach the gospel. And so we have all the equipment with [Music] us. And so we want to spread the gospel because of that. And so we are desiring to buy a vehicle. And so and that is part of my travel as well. And so I’m also desiring to start some new ministries and there are some financial needs for that as well. And so to a small church I’m just telling you. May God bless each one of you. Let me share some thoughts that the Holy Spirit wants me to share with you. [Music] John chapter nine from the uh first verse on. Okay. Thank you. I thank and praise God for this word. come and hear. And so in Matthew and Mark and and Luke, we say we see that phrase that Jesus says, “Come [Music] here.” Come and see. But in John, we see John uses the word that Jesus says, “Come and see.” And God desires this generation not to simply hear the word but also see the word as [Music] well. Maybe you have heard the word over the years but not just to simply hear the word. God wants to bless people who both hear and see the [Music] word. And our our our point of studying the word is not just to look deep into the word and understand the mysteries, but to exercise the word and see the blessing of the word as well. But as Ananas prayed for Saul, even though the devil did not let Saul see, when Ananas put his eyes, hands on Saul’s eyes, like scales fall from his eyes and his eyes were opened. God wants our eyes to be opened so we can walk in that anointing. And this ministry starts with the power of the word. And John starts off in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. And so if those who carry the word carry it with that seriousness, they will be a wonder to [Music] many. We need to see the word with utmost importance. Solomon talks about how we should look at the word and respect the word. We need to look at the word as the apple of our eye. If we continue to protect the word or respect the word like we do the apple of our eye, we will be [Music] blessed. This is the Lord’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes. So in any sphere of your life, you’ll see the work of the Lord and realize it is marvelous. And many times we don’t look at things with the importance it needs. And so the other day I was doing conducting a wedding in my native place. And so the church secretary brought a gift for the new couple. And he came and said, “I’m giving this gift to this couple on behalf of our church.” And so that small gift was a Bible. And but he’s saying it’s a small gift. But there is no greater gift than this. If you read church history, you see how many people suffered just to read one page from this book. And I’ve been in this field now for 30 years. And I have seen the Bible being gifted as people get married. But everyone just takes it and puts it there and doesn’t read it seriously. And so when they open the Bible, you can hear the pages rippling because the pages are stuck together. They never open it. I’m not talking about any specific psalm. Not any specific psalm. Maybe maybe there’s a psalm that we read and we look at it and say they read the Bible a lot but they don’t read the full passages. And so the word of God said if you read the word in its completeness and give it the respect that it needs, you will be a miracle. [Music] And we see Jesus said looked at Nathaniel and said you will see something even greater than this. Don’t worry that the time is gone. No matter what the issue is, if you take the word of God in your hand, you will become a miracle and God is able to do wonders in their life. And we read about the prophet [Music] Hagi. And at a young age, I can imagine that the prophets and God spoke to Hegi and said, “You’re going to be a great man of God.” And in he did not forsake those things. And then he went one day and at captivity he saw Daniel being used and he did not get used there. Came back from captivity when he was much older in age. And God had promised he would be used but used. And we see within a few short days God made him a wonder. And even though the world looked at him and said, “You’re much older in days.” The Lord did a miracle through [Music] him. And so when the disciples were looking for food, they told Jesus, “It’s already past time. They were telling Jesus, “You don’t know theology. If you had finished your message on time, these people could have had food. But now the time has passed. And the God who is able to readjust time even though the world looked at the apostles and said they don’t know they don’t have time though the world says there’s no miracle in your life he’s able to work in your life and we see in John the the list of miracles chemistry and we see the the the work of God that challenges chemistry and they were telling him you’re not going to experience anything good. But God is able and and and almighty to go beyond science and chemistry. And so this temple leader comes to Jesus and says, “My child is not well. You need to come and heal [Music] them.” And so he came to take Jesus. But Jesus said, “Even if I don’t come, the miracle will be done.” And the miracle was done. No matter how far away your problem is, when you sit here and pray, no matter where your issue is, that prayer can reach that area. No matter how old your issue is, God can work. And we see the work of God on an old issue and his power goes between beyond natural works. He was walking on the water and he makes uh he goes over sin his victory over death. And we see John highlight all these things. And so don’t simply look at it without respect. And God wants to use you to take that miracle in history to the world. He wants you to walk in ways not that other people have walked, but he will open the new way for you. And Jesus said, “What do you want me to do for you?” If you get a paper and you God asks you, “What do you want me to do?” Do you have things to write on it? And so a young man was asked in the next five years, what do you want to be? I want to be 25. And so even no matter what happens, he’s going to turn 25. And there’s a lot of people in the spiritual world like this. But Jesus desires you need to have a wish beyond that. You need to have desire to work for the Lord. And you need to do it to glorify [Music] him. In this chapter nine, we see a blind [Music] man. And so seeing him, the disciples asked Jesus, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents?” But Jesus said, “It is that God should be revealed in him.” And so the disciples thought process was wrong. And so many of you are looking at your problem and s and holding on to what prophets and apostles say, but God is able to do something beyond that. And the proof that you hold in your hand is the word of God. And Jacob had this proof in his hand for 13 years. And this proof was that my son had died. But Jacob realized even though I hold this proof in my hand, there’s a work that God does even beyond that. hospital. Even though your parents or those who take care of you may have written you off, there is a God that goes beyond that. And that is a God that we worship today. May be maybe you are sitting here not able to worship and you’re holding these proofs in your hand but there is a God that can work beyond the proof that you hold. Hallelujah. And so we see in the life of Jacob that his son Joseph stands right in front of him. and he looks at his son and says, “Joseph, I didn’t think I would see you [Music] again.” And not just you, but God has given me the opportunity to see my future generations. And those who have seen this, can you praise the Lord? Can you honor him? Glorify him. You have received many goodness of the Lord but not able to worship [Music] him. And so there’s a story of a mother and son going to the [Music] store. And so the son points out and says, “This uncle is the one that saved me.” And so they had gone to a picnic and this boy had fallen into the water. No one was ready to rescue him. And so this young man had jumped into the water to rescue him. And so this young boy remembered who saved him. And he pointed him out to his mother and said, “This is the uncle that saved me.” And so and this this mother went to this uncle. And so and the the son knew that this mother was going to give thanks. And so the mother went to this uncle and said, “Where’s my son’s hat?” And pretty much saying, “You rescued my son, but you lost his hat. So where’s the rest of it? Why don’t you praise the Lord?” You’re asking for the rest of the blessing. And Jesus is saying, “Give thanks for what you have. Let us thank him for the blessings he has given us. What others cannot see, he has opened your eyes to see and you need to praise him for it. [Music] But we need to praise the God. What many people, the kings and the prophets have desired to see, you are able to see. And we need to give thanks that our eyes are open to see it. Hallelujah. [Music] And so the word of God is given to us as a temple. If no matter what issue we are going through in our life, God wants to wake up the skill in your life so that you are a miracle and a wonder. He wants to use you in the palm of his hand. The devil probably looked at Paul and said, “With that thorn in your flesh, you’re not going anywhere.” And but Paul realized the work and the power of the Lord is on me because of this weakness in my life. So that we see Paul in all his letters, he looks at the greatness and the the depth and the mystery of the word of God. And so in the midst of people who mock you, in the midst of people who who discourage you, remember that God is going to use you and he’s going to test you somewhere. I’m going to be a wonder. Don’t think it’s a simple thing to be blind. In one church that I was ministering, there was two people there that were blind. And I still keep in touch with them. And so even when I was coming this time, I prayed with them. And they both come to church. And one of those blind men reads the Braille Bible. And so one of those brothers can read the the Braille language. And so another brother just memorizes the [Music] word. And I will give him time and he recites it from memory. But it is really tragic the condition of those who are blind. And so when we are asking them to read passages specifically from Genesis, sometimes they make up things. And so we say table, but they read Moses. [Music] And so at one time I was ministering from the word of God and uh one of the blind brothers came and said, “Pastor, I’ve not seen you in such a long time.” And sometimes the people that can see don’t even recognize us or give us mind. But the one who is blind is saying, “I haven’t seen you in a long time. [Music] So the disciples are asking Jesus, is it him or his discip or his parents that have sinned that he is blind? But Jesus said it is the work of God that’s going to be revealed in him. And so people are asking, “We’re healthy and doing well here, but the work of God is going to be revealed through this blind man. Our God is able to to come into work with people who are isolated, who the world does not want. Hallelujah. And so we see that the story of the blind man in verse six that Jesus makes clay with his saliva and tells him to go wash in the pool of Siloam. And so the I I’m wondering in my head, first of all, he’s blind, but would we ever tell a blind person to go somewhere? Only Jesus would say that. And so when I have gone through difficulties in my life, there was no one to even give me a little help. And so at that time, this is the word that God gave to me. And I’ve wondered why Jesus didn’t tell his one of his disciples to take this blind man to that pool. But Jesus did not give him anyone to [Music] help. But Jesus said, “You go alone. You need to go to this pool of sorrow and wash yourself there. Don’t think that I am alone. There’s no one to help me. He is the one that wakes up your heart. And God wants you to go alone. You know where he is being sent to this pool of silhouette and that pool has a story before the time of Jesus during the time of Hezekiah when sakarab was coming against Israel. And so he closed all the all the pools and shut down so the city could not get water. And so that kingdom was going into starvation. And so Hezekiah was worried when that situation came. And so 2,000 yards away and a guehon there was a stream there and they made a tunnel under the rock. Hezekiah was ready. when there was an [Music] issue. It was a time that geology was not developed and looking out and and crying out against synagogue to reach water to Jerusalem in the midst of her problem. God woke up the skill of this king. Dear child of God who worships where he sends you to that pool. There’s a story where there was no way that God made a way when he used that water that he received his sight. But don’t doubt your trip to Siloam. And so someone some of you the spirit is saying you’re on this journey to this pool. And so my ministry changed after [Music] 2018. And so I received a phone call that my son was in an [Music] accident. And so on that Sunday when my son was leading worship, he sang the song that said, “The angel of death has been passed away.” And he had that accident earlier in the week. And in the third day, he was in a coma. And so the hospital called us and said, “Hey, we’re he’s in a critical condition. We’re going to turn off the ventilator. If you want to come and see him, come and see him.” And there was many obstacles for us to go and see him. And so many people in this country pray for us. And where my brother-in-law ministers, that church and we reached there and the the doctors told us certain things and they said because he has a tracheosttomy, he will be in a vegetative state for the rest of his life. He cannot continue his study of medicine and so in any way if he is still living he is of no use and on the ninth day he came out of that coma and I saw medical science trembling and not knowing what to do God did the wonder there he finished his coursework and he and he passed his MD exam And he came to our convention and testified through song. Whatever the doctor said wouldn’t happen, God made it happen. And so when our ministry was going through trouble, after we faced that, God took the ministry to the next level. He is the God that is able to exalt you if you’re going through a trouble. I’m going to teach you as as Jesus as God told Israel as go as an eagle teaches its chicks to fly. I’m going to teach you. God is going to give you a grace to stand in this country and he is going to give that to you. How many of you believe there is a Pentecost power that’s going through this word or in the past in 2025 and God wants to pour that power on you in this morning. Hallelujah. Amen. And so be be people that carry that power. May God give you that grace. And I give my thanks to Pastor Manu who gave me this time and to this church. May God bless all of you with these words.
