Being Passionate for God

For a short period uh I want to turn your focus on uh 2 Chronicles chapter 16 and verse 9 in English it is written that for the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to give strong support to those whose heart is is blameless toward him I don’t want to just go into the context of this particular passage but I just want to assert you that this is uh not a specific word applied to one particular person it is a general principle of God and this principle of God that applies to all generations if you turn if you look at the year of this particular incident we can approximately put 910 BCE [Music] uh now I want to uh give the proof that the word of God never changes and it applies and it works in all the generation today my my main point is that if you are true to whatever knowledge you have got whether little or big if you are really true to that God will do wonders in your life I just want to put that how this principle worked in a man named Cornelius in Acts chapter 10 that how God’s this principle work very powerfully in this man’s life and imagine that this word was this word now this principle can also be proven correct in your life if you qualify for that cor we all want God to work in our life but how the God will work he has very is very strict in his demands he never compromises with anything he never thinks about what you have done in history what you have done in the history what you are correctly now that God looks at you and what I want to say is that the word says that if you are completely hooked with the God then God will show who he is God’s eyes before thousands of years turned throughout the Earth today also God’s eyes is turning towards the entire the Earth who is very much booked into his presence this worked in the life of Cornelius he his life puts me in so much wonder and surprise how this man could receive such God’s blessing we don’t know the background of Corel how he came to know the God he is a he’s a commander of of uh 100 soldiers uh if his lifestyle belongs to the status of upper middle class he’s a rich man he is not he doesn’t have any sickness in his family he doesn’t have any financial needs from the from if you read that entire chapter we don’t think there is some material problem or physical problem he faces but we know that this man was completely believing in God and we know that gospel has not that much penetrated in [Music] cesaria because in the previous chapter it is WR that Philip Philip entered cesaria but how he understood or how he came to know in the context of the Living God that is still a surprise but I know that whatever he knew about God he was 100% faithful in that he was not a Pentecostal believer he was not attending the church he was not attending any synagogue he was not attend any convention but still this man was something great was there in his life that God has to in come to his to come to his wherever he was if you are thorough with the English language then you know some words which gives a has described his character very well in the second verse it is written that he gave he gave money or help the people second thing second quality was that he prayed but that is not that is that is not that much doing Justice to his character the the adverb generously is given to the word the verb which is called uh give the the adverb adverb generously is is to describe the act of giving means he give he gave but how he gave generously and second he prayed but how he prayed continuously prayed even before getting baptized even before getting baptized even before receiving the Holy Spirit even before going to some church service how come this man can can live like this way and we know that from the if you read the entire chapter he was not thorough with the God’s word I will point out one thing that when Peter entered his house what he did you know that he bowed down before Peter and worshiped him that means he didn’t know what is the word of God if he would knowing the word of God then he would have never worshiped Peter this all all things surprises me how this man can be so such a different spiritual person do you do you feel the same thing which I am feeling such a little knowledge of God just I want to put another metaphorical picture before you the the the the woman who was having the physical ailment for bleeding continuously for 12 years what she did she neither asked the Lord not this ask the Lord to put hands or command what was their belief just I want to touch the edge of the Garment so that I can be healed you know that thing that that particular scene that the the people the public was pushing Jesus Christ but no one no one experience the power of the Lord Jesus Christ but when this this moment with little faith touch that garment know what happened God’s Jesus power spread into her [Applause] body Jesus neither touch but Jesus cloth was just touched the the the way you are before the presence of God that will determine how your blessings will be I don’t know somewhere cornelus came to know about God Living God he was so much 100% committed and devoted to God that he began to automatically spontaneously doing the charity workj and when we began to be deeply involved in God what happened he began to the change happen automatically my my friends I want to tell you that if you’re really experiencing the god you will not be the same person which was there when you baptized I want to tell you that simply God will never accept anyone’s prayer or anyone’s donation from the incidents of Genesis that two brothers went to sacrifice God rejected one and accepted other God doesn’t take time to reject anyone today also many people are came here and worshiping the God but who but everyone will not be sanctioned by God but I want to tell you if you are sanctioned by God there is anointing upon you and you will be you will be a blessing for [Music] others praise the Lord and we know that every all prayers are not all uh giving or charity work is not acceptable by God also so we know that when Jesus Christ was sitting near the Temple of Jerusalem at that time many people came and put offerings Jesus only prays one woman’s [Music] offering that was very little of that’s what I tell that Jesus accepts Jesus way of accepting the commitment the prayer is very different than what we see God is very much different than what what you think whoever you are God has specific criteria and God will accept that only and his prayer and his arm and his this charity work reached the heaven an angel was sent to him and God gave very specific address also where Peter was staying that you should send a man you should send your people to where to the Simon tner who is staying by the Sea Peter is staying there this this doesn’t only this doesn’t complete the to describe the character of Cornelius when we turn to uh verse 9 verse sorry verse seven can you read continuously staying with him attended him this man was such a great person that even those who was working under him their life also is changed when he called a soldier and that Soldier came he was also a devote Soldier you are when you are spiritual person you don’t have to act to be spiritual you are really a spiritual person what is the proof that you are a spiritual person you are the proof is that the people who who are staying with you they will also will be changed I’m not telling as a general rule but what I say that even if that person will not be changed that person will always have a good testimony about that man just you keep in mind when when when actually I’m presenting today about cornelus life you have to think in your mind that this man is not a Christian man not a church goer he doesn’t have any Scripture also within his hand you have to think about that man in that way who told him to pray continuously who told him to give donations generously and who told him that you try to change other soldiers who are under you like [Music] you let us let me compare that man with disciples [Music] how many times Christ has to tell the disciples that what is the purpose of your calling even in the the last moment when Christ was about to ascend at that time also Christ reminded them that you have to receive the Holy Spirit and then you don’t have you have to first be witness in Jerusalem and then Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the world Jesus has to again and remind them how many times Jesus has reminded the disciples that you have to teach to the people what I have taught you but did anyone told Cornelius that to tell to others that you also become a devote like me praise the Lord he was a automatic or we can say uh I don’t know how to say automatically he was an evangelist no ordination no Bible College no prayer attending service of the Holy Spirit no pastors along with him noever to clap hands with him how this man become like this is it not a great wonder what I want the great wonder is that the word of God which was just a little which God he received that changed him drastically Hallelujah of God is very powerful but how is the soil how is the soil is that soil on is the soil compared to the road or is that soil like that soil which is on the on the rocks or or the soil is is that found among the Thorns it depends upon the soil God’s principle Works God’s principle will definitely work if you are hooked like you are hooked with the Apple iPhone or Samsung if you are hooked with God in that way God will surely show who he is yes I definitely believe that you don’t have to change yourself God will come and change you hallelujah hallelujah be you have to be truthful in what you know this also doesn’t complete my specifically to Cornelius what to do Cornelius understand what God’s intention is he know know the heart of God how he can know the heart of God because he’s completely inside God first of all he has time to pray before God imagine that he is a man of responsibility 100 soldiers under him he has to look after his house he has to look after his house he has to take care of the all the responsibilities but still he has so much time to pray before the God just I want to ask you that I as to ask you and me also the same question how much we are into God how much we are into God this man can never say that I don’t have time he has enough time for God because he has love for God simple is a very simple thing he has a great love for God even he doesn’t know God completely he doesn’t know about what Jesus did love God then how much we have to love God hallelujah hallelujah when Peter came uh he knew what God wants God wants he understood that I have to send for Peter and Peter will come here and he know what he has to do he has to hear the word of God from him that he knows coreli knows now greatest thing here the climax of everything when Peter entered Peter entered his house first lesson taught I told you what the first lesson is when he entered the house Peter thought that Peter thought that I will see Cornelius his wife and kids only when Peter enti and entered want to ask I want to askal cor why you actually the angel was sent to you only specifically and you have to call Peter and you are to hear from him then why you call all these people okay if you called your family members it is okay understand but you are not only called your family members you called everyone why who told cornelus like that he has never heard Jesus last commission why this man did from where he learned this a small he thought he he should have limited uh Peter’s resource for his family only but why why this thing happened in his why what made him to do this he didn’t call only his family everyone called you know he qualifies a typical different type of Christian he called second m Christian second m Christian I heard about the second I heard when I was studying in manala first year at that time one forgot the name starting with Matthew he came there and preached that Christians has to be the second mild Christians means that if anyone ask you to go for one mile you you go with him to the to the are you bored with the message ask you to go for what we should do go with the yeah we need to go with them I 100% sure that cornelus have never heard this particular command of Jesus right now Pastor no no he has never heard this cor he hasn’t listened to the fifth chapter but how he became second m Christian let me why he is not to be a second m Christian Jesus told God angel told him to just call his family members but what he did he called not only only family members his relatives and also his friends one thing you have to remember is he’s not a follower of Jesus Christ he is not a 100% a Jewish convert convert but what made him did like that like rebea no when when elazar came there at that time rebea told that I will not just put water for your passionate to do even what has not told also so it is not a surprise that God will send this Angel to [Music] him okay so if if we our life is just like that then I’m 100% sure that God is very much concerned about you and me even this man has not knowing much about God but that little knowledge the little knowledge about the God how it brought great change in his life 100% he was committed to whatever he knew about God my God also is second M God God is also second God didn’t wait cornelus to be baptized in the water and give him the Holy Spirit even before he took water baptism God gave him the Holy Spirit Hallelujah I know who was changed it was not Cornelius was Chang it was Peter who was changed used Corel to change the greatest Apostle the cultural bondage the cultural slavery mind of Peter was broken into pieces how when Cornelius received the Holy Spirit hallelujah hallelujah that’s why if if you are generous for God then God will be more generous to you I want to do just putting if you in this no for God do it passionately to the youth I’m telling you if you are playing the if you are playing the instrument singing for the god do it passionately if you are generous with God I definitely guarantee you right with na under the na a that God will be also more generous to you than what you are generous to if you clapping the hands passionately for the God God also will be generous with you because God never compromise his principle if your mind and heart is hooked completely with the God God will show who he is happen in unbelievers life how much more God can do in your life God is always truthful and completely honest depends upon our our heart at how God will work I want to see this my church I want to see all the Believers including me to be passionate about the God become passionate about God God will use you in his way you don’t have to be struggled to be a spiritual person you don’t have to put much effort to be very spiritual person be in the Lord just be in the Lord just be hooked in the Lord be passionate for the God love him generously don’t limit yourself for the God God will will use you marvelously whatever place you are you will be effective you will not only be effective the person whom you will associate he also will be changed imagine if our all if our church entirely becomes in that way how this blessed our congregation will be how blessed this congregation will be pastor will very easy this is only what I want to tell to you I don’t want to no longer stretch the message whatever knowledge you have be passionate in that be completely on depending upon God God will use you God’s principle Works in 900 BC God’s principle worked in ad 23 or 30 in this 2025 also God’s principle will work may God bless you thank you for
