Absolute Truth

I thank and praise God God for the grace of allowing me to stand in your midst with the word this morning absolute truth I wanted to speak to you this morning on the concept of absolute truth some many of you who have been following the news in India for the last two three weeks can understand something inci Main there were two incidents that happened and so two things two incidents happened that there were multiple casualties so December December 5 on December 5th there was a movie that was released and so the hero of that movie came to that uh initial screening of the movie and so the crowd became very excited seeing the actual star of the film there and so in the Stampede of this crowd excited to see this movie star a lady died and her son was in a coma for extended period of time and so a a a chief minister turned against the star uh not Chief another Minister a minister turned against the star and arrested him and he was released on bail and so he came back and took a photo [Music] in you see how they arrested this superstar in this incident another incident and the other incident happened yesterday uh this past week in a temple in India 6 to8 people died in a stampede there and to see the god in that Temple There are rules and there’s a high amount of money need to be given to come close into the interior of that Temple to see God from that distance and another amount of money need to be given if you want to see the God for free you have to wait in line for three to four days and in an incident like that is where this Stampede occurred and so no one arrested the god there so they concluded that this lady died from a pre-existing condition and so because six to eight people uh died otherwise some officers were suspended Hallelujah how can we cover the truth hallelujah does the truth have value what is the worth that the world has given each one of us these two incidents occurred in India Hallelujah and so the government handled these two incidence in two different ways let me give you another example and forgive me for giving you this example and this came in uh this story was featured in a magazine and I’m going to tell you a story on ethics and so the illustration written by the writer is this there was a beautiful woman traveling on a flight and so sitting next to her a young man was came to sit after a little journey and so that young man looked at her face and said this I’ll give you $1 million dollar for one night and that woman looked at his face and said nothing after a little time are you serious and she asked him and said are you serious $1 million for a night $1 million for a night then he said yes 10 minutes prior to the flight landing and he said this to her so prior to that she asked all his personal details 10 minutes prior to Landing he asked again I don’t have a million dollars but I have $10 lady and so she looked at his face and said what do you think who am I what type of woman do you think I am then he said that and I’ve already established based on the question so but now my question is are you settling for $10 what is the right price what is the true price the right price when this editor gave this illustration how far does ethics go how far does value go how far does goodness go when our prices reach our value is reached do we compromise our ethics what is the price of our conviction we see this many times in the political world they will compromise their integrity we see that many people compromise when they get to a certain price their convictions their convictions and we see it very tragically also in the spiritual World we’ve seen spiritual leaders compromise with my own eyes Hallelujah if you if you give them the right price they will compromise with the right price they will compromise Hallelujah but but Jesus did not come into the world for this let’s read Matthew chapter 4 and brother rajen already spoke about this Matthew 4 verse 1-6 spe that’s you know other uh uh thank you these are very familiar passages to us I have preached on how the Holy Spirit guides based on this passage I wanted to speak to you this morning about three truths from these passages the ruler of this world who is coming to A Jesus who is hungry Hallelujah we see that the spirit is the one leading Jesus Into the Wilderness we we see that Matthew chapter 4 is one of the more important chapters in this gospel and many of the further passages are founded and established on this chapter if Jesus was defeated in this chap chapter we would not receive Calvary we would not see an empty tomb not see a Jesus coming back this ruler of the world who came to Jesus while he was hungry he knew Jesus immediate situation the ruler of this world understands our situation [Music] Hallelujah and so they use people in many situations and but they cannot be in multiple places at once so they use tricks of many different types Hallelujah so Jesus Satan is coming to tempt Jesus on the mental level hallelujah hallelujah and how is he tempting him from the mental level if the world is to believe this is the Messiah that has come to the world and so you need to give them the world what does the world World want there was a time during the time of Jesus that there was a famine see many times in the gospel situations where people don’t have food and we see if the rocks of that in that region look uh very white almost like bread Hallelujah and so we see the devil trying to convince Jesus Hallelujah and so when we would think of this logically how is Satan able to say this to Jesus Hallelujah you know during convention uh convention season how do preachers increase their rating they share these highlights and clips short clips on YouTube Hallelujah and so the new thing now is calling out the license plate number of the car that they come out of is anyone becoming saved because of that license plate number Hallelujah and could you imagine them announcing the license plate number with that Pastor who is getting spiritually any benefit from that [Music] Hallelujah and so we see there are many disguises that are used to trap spiritual leaders we see the same trick or trap that the Satan is using here so what are the needs of the people that are going to follow you you they have some physical needs they need bread for this life Hallelujah if you are going to give such a [Music] sign and now the world that is with me they’re going to believe you Hallelujah [Music] us we see in the University campuses are leaning toward more of a secular side where they don’t even believe in God more and more students are moving toward a condition where they don’t believe in God hallelujah and they are writing that God does not exist Hallelujah and so the answer that Jesus who came to this world to give new life we see his answer here in chapter four not not by bread alone does one live Hallelujah let’s think of the negative side of what Jesus said [Music] first why does he say it is not by bread alone first and bread can only give our outer man life Hallelujah Jesus is not talking about the outer man but he’s talking about how the inner man should live Hallelujah man does not live by bread alone Hallelujah but lives by every word that comes out of the mouth of God hallelujah and Jesus is explaining the importance of the word of God here that’s why the word said in the beginning was the word word Hallelujah Jesus didn’t say in the beginning was video we like to see videos even our children now don’t want to read as much and they say they understand more if they can see when we read the word is when it comes into our heart Hallelujah and so Jesus is explaining here the bread is not for the outer man but this Living Word is for the growth of the Inner Man Hallelujah and it doesn’t end there and so he takes Jesus to the second place to be tempted and so the second thing we see here is the condition of his will Hallelujah so how did Jesus overcome it verse five says then the devil took him up to the holy city set him on the Pinnacle of the temple and said if you are the Son of God throw yourself down for it is written he shall give his angels charge over you and in their hands they shall bear you up lest you dash your foot against a stone do any of you know where this quote is taken from and the ruler of this world knows the scriptures more than us hallelujah do you understand what I’m saying and more than us the ruler of this world knows what verses are written and where they are Hallelujah and he knows what situation to use those verses he showed Jesus everything of this world and then tells him what does he say and the response Jesus said was verse seven Jesus said to him it is written again you shall not tempt the Lord your God how do we test God hallelujah many times it’s the small small things that we pray unto God hallelujah and many times we get the we don’t we get an answer for the small things so then we go to the next step and we take it to the next level Hallelujah and each situation when we ask God hallelujah what happens in the presence of God Hallelujah and so we believe that God is hearing our requests Hallelujah and so when our prayers are answered we we talk back to God hallelujah but there are situations that those prayers are not answered in our Liv then when our prayer isn’t answered what is our mindset Hallelujah many times we say there is an appointed time for the vision and it is running toward its appointed time and it is surely coming it won’t delay and then then we pray God will take care of everything he’s Jehovah Gyra and he is the one that provides and then we say all these things in conclude Hallelujah where do where did Jehovah occur and it was a time that that concept was pending in the life of Abraham when he took Isaac to be sacrificed Hallelujah and Isaac asked his father where is the Lamb or the ram for this sacrifice and and Abraham told his son God will provide Hallelujah and we see that God surely did provide and prepared a lamb for sacrifice Hallelujah after many years when Jesus was the sacrifice on Calvary Hallelujah that God that spoke to Abraham Hallelujah it turned his face away from Jesus hallelujah what happened there Hallelujah he was Jehovah Gyra he is the god that provides that is what God has provided for us he provided Jesus for us to be sacrif IED on Calvary now we don’t need to say in our personal prayers for our personal needs that Jesus provides he’s already he’s already provided for us by becoming a sacrifice on Calvary Hallelujah now there’s nothing more for God to provide [Music] Hallelujah he has already provided he died for our sins and you know he has resurrected for us hallelujah we see that Satan is tempting the will of Jesus here hallelujah now when we look at the third situation verse eight again the devil took him on an exceedingly high mountain showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory and said to him all these things I will give you if you fall down and worship very specifically if anyone is telling you that they can give you the world Hallelujah and only this world only this person can do that what God has already promised he has given us that is what he gave us on Calvary Hallelujah huj he’s telling Jesus here you just need to do one thing [Music] Hallelujah I will give you all of this you just have to bow down to me Hallelujah one two things we have to understand here when we say fall down we give worship many definitions [Music] Hallelujah many times we take that word worship and break it down Define it when we worship and adore Jesus what do we say to him Hallelujah there is no one else to accept me other than [Music] you we are telling God to accept me Hallelujah but otherwise we cannot be the ones to exalt Jesus we cannot increase his glory because even Heaven is stained in his sight because then we as humans cannot exalt God even greater [Music] hallelujah huj what do we tell God In Worship this worthless person that I am cannot even come into your presence to exalt you but the world the the king of the ruler of this world says you just have to bow down once Hallelujah when what is the answer that Jesus gave for that away with you Satan for it is written you shall Worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve then the devil left him he left him for a season some translations say that the devil left him only for a specific season intellectual and many times the devil will come with the prescription to satisfy our mental or intellectual needs imag distort he will bring many thoughts into our mind to distort our imagination Hallelujah he will bring many needs into our midst to take us away from the presence of God because the needs of that we need on this Earth will never end [Music] Hallelujah and so when we die on this Earth our needs are even more from the time that we are born there is no end to the needs that we need till we die even after death it doesn’t end and then there are people that still go to the grave and pray for those who are dead Hallelujah in this world the needs of man will never end but when can we separate from this World Hallelujah when God we don’t trust on the supports of this world but when we trust in the Lord that’s when it ends that’s when we become greater than what is in this world I’ve heard a story like [Music] this two people were going on a bus together Hallelujah a larger man was sitting in a seat on the bus Hallelujah afan and a very large man africanamerican individual was sitting on the seat and so at the next stop very skinny brother came back on the bus and so because there was no other seats he sat next to this bigger uh person on the bus and so because there wasn’t much space they were tightly closed together and so this bigger man then gave some more space to this a skinnier person and so continued to push him and so this bigger man continued to give him space and so when they got finally to the stop this bigger man got out and so before getting off he put his hand on the shoulder of the skinnier person and he gave a card from his pocket to the skinnier man and the card said this Jo Louis world heavyweight boxing champion Joe leis boxing champion and so you can imagine that this boxing champion if he really wanted to could have push this smaller man completely out of the way Hallelujah but he did not do that why not Hallelujah and that is the glory of this how he reacted in this situation this is how many times we are pushing God but why doesn’t he reject us completely because that is of his mercy and that is his Glory Hallelujah Hallelujah and that is the condition that we are in right now that God is leading us hallelujah in this chapter four these things that have happened Hallelujah because Jesus overcomed it and he prepared a Calvary for us because Jesus was victorious in chapter four then because of that there is an empty tomb for us because he was victorious in chapter 4 Hallelujah and he has resurrected for us hallelujah because he was Victorious over these three temption and so because of that he’s coming again to take us up Hallelujah and we need to overcome these three Temptations temptation to the intellect temptation of the intellect Hallelujah temptation to the will and temptation of the will temptation to the imagination and then temptation of the imagination [Music] Hallelujah when these these Temptations of chapter four come into our life Hallelujah we have a savior that who helps us overcome that [Music] huj we have the only son of the father who has finished the race [Music] hallelujah our Jesus who finished his raceu Jesus who has prepared the crowns for us hallelujah many years ago when I saw when I heard this verse I did not know this was from the word of God and there was a Paul who was a preacher in the Orthodox church and he wore a special type of uniform in his church and he was a convention speaker and when he died there was a poster about him underneath was a verse written like this finish fought the good fight finished the race and now the crown of righteousness is awaiting me I didn’t know that was from the word of God there was no reference mentioned and and I thought this was true regarding he was a man that preached the word of God he was a young man hallelujah hallelujah at a young age he died in a bike accident and so I thought that was very meaningful at that time Hallelujah Jesus said we have troubles in this world world but I have overcome this world the thoughts of our hearts let those be pleasing to God [Music] hallelujah let us run in this world for the word of God if we are victorious like in chapter four we can go in his second coming but if we are defeated in chapter four we are going to be with those who are lost not to be with those who are lost may God count us worthy to be standing with the saints of God may God bless us with these words hallelujah
